About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- S_Kasia0 contributionsGreat experience. Amazing reef spit and great hosts. We couldn't recommend it highly enough. Hugo was a great host. We got contacted the afternoon before th trip for our details which they need to do they can arrange for a pass for you, so make sure you check your phone. The snorkeling equipment is all arranged for you if you haven't got your own. The team was great, Hugo's English was great and he was very knowledgeable. We got lucky to see both manta rays and turtles, and quite a few Komodo dragons. The coral reef is absolutely stunning. If you have a go pro, please take it for the snorkeling. The lunch was nice and there was plenty of water and soft drinks offered. We will remember that trip to the rest of our life. There was an incident that happened on a different boat, Hugo didn't hesitate to jump in and help. Bravo, bravo. Very impressed by his reaction and no hesitation in the situation. Well done. We would definitely take a tour with them again. Thank you.Written October 9, 2024
- ninitab20230 contributionsAll the things!!!We saw the dragon, the manta rays, the turtles and the baby sharks. It was spectacular. We did 2 hikes, one easy and one hard. Went to the pink beach and the sandbank. Our team was excellent. They even saved another boat!!!Written October 6, 2024

- stephenkP5752VI0 contributionsExciting and beautiful. This was a wonderful all-day excursion. Very well organized. Great staff…friendly and knowledgeable. We saw all the creatures we had hoped to see…the Komodo dragons and manta rays. The tour started earlier than other companies and we were able to view various sites with minimal crowds. I recommend this tour highly.Written September 27, 2024
- susannetQ8392MP0 contributionsThere are so many things…My daughter (25) and I (68) had a fabulous day on the one day Komodo trip by speed boat organised by Bintang Komodo tours. Doddy Kardi contacted us the day before the tour to arrange the right size flippers and goggles, also considering and catering for food restrictions. The whole tour was extremely well organised right from the start. Hotel pickup was punctual, getting our small group through the clearance process at the harbour was quick and efficient. First stop was beautiful Padar Island with its breathtaking view from the top. I had a small accident and my wound was skilfully cleaned and bandaged up with care. The turquoise blue waters and Pink Beach with a variety of shells and corals washed up on its shore was our next stop. After that we went ashore on Komodo Island where 2 local guides took over, teaching us about the life of these monitor lizards. We watched two big males fighting close by. Again this tour was well organised, keeping everyone safe. The afternoon was spent snorkeling near Makassar Island, a crescent shaped patch of sand and Kanawa Island. Mesmerising to watch the underwater world - all the colours, shapes and sizes of fish and coral; sea turtles grazing and coming up for a breath. We did not see any Manta Rays as they are feeding elsewhere in August. Again all guides on board kept everyone safe. They took great care looking after tourists whose swimming ability was minimal. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Doddy and your crew. S. Taylor, AustraliaWritten September 26, 2024
- aussiestardust0 contributionsStunning Snorkelling - Great Way to See the Highlights in One DayAn early start for exploring all of the "must see" locations for Komodo National Park area but it's worth it to start early to have a head start on the majority of boats that are also going to be heading to the same areas. The boat is not large but was comfortable and the trip out into the National Park was smooth. The Padar Island hike will get your heart pumping but is not "difficult" and is well worth the spectacular views. Pink Beach was stunning and offers the chance to have a swim and cool off after the hike. While it was interesting to see the Komodo Dragons up close, that stop was probably our least favourite part of the entire day. The walk to see the dragons is led by the local rangers who were informative and eager to take photos...but then essentially "told" they group they "had" to be tipped for their services. Lunch on Komodo was a simple boxed lunch but tasty. The afternoon was spent snorkelling and it was SPECTACULAR! This is the true gem of the trip as the water, clarity, coral cover and diversity of marine life make it absolutely stunning. We were also fortunate enough to see a manta and several turtles. The entire boat crew, in particular the guides Harri and Rambo were very friendly, clear about the program and made sure everyone had a good time. We highly recommend, especially to explore the area if you have limited time.Written September 22, 2024
- A7372AGjessican0 contributionsMUST DO excursion for Indonesia tripFantastic tour! The tour guide spoke great English and provided plenty of drinks and lunch for the trip. You sail in a clean and comfortable speedboat giving ample time to see lots of the beautiful islands and coral reefs at Komodo National park. Snorkelling gear provided was of high quality and leaving earlier in the day than other tours meant you avoided the crowds at each site seeing spot. Would highly recommend this for your Indonesia trip - best nature/culture excursion we did! Thanks to everyone who helped out on the day.Written September 22, 2024
- vincentwJ8946WG0 contributionsExcellentWe had a great time exploring the Komodo national park area. Would recommend if you're short on time, but still want to experience all the cool spots.Written September 19, 2024
- 543kirank0 contributionsKomodo one day tourHad a great time on this excursion. Grateful we started so early so we had a cooler hike up Pader Island. When we were descending the other tour groups had started to arrive, and it had gotten very busy and very hot! The guides were incredibly accommodating and involved with everyone’s safety. The hike up paid is quite steep with about 850 steps.Written September 19, 2024
- TangoTweety0 contributionsOne of my favorite days in 3 wks in IndonesiaBEST snorkeling in decades! Actually, the ENTIRE day was a ton of fun. I was twice the age in years of the rest at 66 years old but I climbed those 900 stairs on first island stop. We were very fortunate the entire trip. The clouds added drama to the sky and cooling shade from the hot sun. The pink sand beach is pinker when wet. This also was a GREAT snorkeling spot, the first of 4 because the shallow depth allows coral and fish colors to pop. The other snorkeling spots will be jumps from the boat. Stick close to the guides who will point out the sea turtles because they will be camouflaged. We swam with one. The manta rays are gorgeous but move quickly as they fly through the water. Komodo Island has 1000 dragons and Sept is mating season. We saw one well-fed 25 year old and two much smaller and active ones came through during our lunch break! The seas were calm but I took some medicine just in case. I also used my own snorkel and mask.Written September 19, 2024

We had the most amazing time on the tour. It was an adventure from the time they picked us up from our hotel. Our guide Wempi was fantastic, the crew were friendly, helpful and the food delicious. Our safety was of the utmost importance and our every need catered for, we felt so spoilt. Our cabin was compact, but hey it's a boat not a cruise liner. We were lucky enough to see a Komodo Dragon, climb Padar Island and snorkel the coral reefs. Yes it's expensive and there are a couple of extra costs involved like air fares to Labuan Bajo, hotel costs before the tour and the last 2 nights and of course tipping but it's totally worth it. Go on book it, you won't regret it.

This was such a great trip. The Manta Rays were my favorite. But the Komodo Dragons, Flying Fox Bats and endless Sea Turtles were close behind.
Our guide, Alfin, was INCREDIBLE. AMAZING. We could not have been happier or more humbled by such a gracious and knowledgeable host.
One highlight (of many) of each day, was the food prepared on board the ship. Each meal was local, fresh and different.
Thanks for a great vacation and even better memories.

Myself and my husband had such a wonderful time on this tour. We got to see two komodo dragons fighting, swim in turquoise clear warm water and swim with both a giant manta and 3 different turtles. Not mentioning all the other wonderful snorkling experiences we had looking at coral reefs and tropical fish. The food was great! Some the best we have had in Indonesia! Roman was a gentleman and when after the tour we asked for help at very short notice to get a spin to the airport (all taxis were booked up due to the presidents arrival), he arranged for the driver we had on the fourth day to collect us. Roman was beyond helpful and we want to thank him for such a wonderful experience. This tour is 100% worth doing and I cannot recommend it enough! It was a dream come true! What an amazing country!

it was the most amazing trip we' ve ever done in our lives. My wife and I were the only passengers on the boat, which had 5 crew and a guide called Rian. I'm mid 60's and have a dodgy knee, and he helped us so much on the trip, especially with the snorkelling, as my wife is also a nervous swimmer. Rian took some very good underwater shots with his go pro underwater camera, which included lots of turtles, rays and beautifully coloured fish. He is a very good at English, and a fun person, we would highly recommend him. The food the crew cooked for us at every meal, was delicious and plentiful.
We went to Komodo island and saw lots of Komodo dragons, and got some great photo's. We also saw the nightly flight of thousands of fruit bats, which was such a spectacular sight.

The 3 days & 2 nights on the boat were fantastic. Our guide and the crew were wonderful. The views from the top of Padar Island were spectacular. We saw 5 Komodo Dragons on Komodo Island and my husband snorkelled with manta days at Manta Point. Probably wouldn't do the 4th day waterfall and Rangko cave again, although the guide (different one from the boat trip) & driver were great.

It sounds like you had a fabulous time during your 4-day, 3-night tour in Komodo. The stunning views from Padar Island and the opportunity to see Komodo Dragons on Komodo Island must have been incredible experiences. Snorkeling with manta rays at Manta Point is also a unique and memorable adventure.
Your feedback about the 4th-day activities at the waterfall and Rangko cave is noted. While it might not have been as enjoyable as the previous days, it's great to hear that your guide and driver made the experience enjoyable.
Thank you for sharing your travel experience, and we hope you have many wonderful memories from your time in Komodo. If you ever return for more adventures, don't hesitate to reach out to the same or different tour operators to create another unforgettable trip.

My friends and I had an amazing time. Doddy, the person we were in communication with (from the tour company) was very responsive. He responded to all questions and requests. Our freelance local guide Paskal was wonderful. He went above and beyond. He always made sure that we knew what was happening, that we were prepared for each activity and brought the right things, and that we were safe - guiding us to climb up the trails, swimming, etc. Best of all, Paskal did everything with a smile on his face. The tour agency was also attentive in any dietary restriction and the boat crew made sure to comply. We definitely loved that it was a private tour - we were able to go to all the spots and take our time. We never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour and Paskal for your guide.

I want to start by saying I had an absolutely amazing experience. Rian was an excellent guide, and he went above and beyond to make sure that we had a memorable trip. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Here are the highlights for me (a bit out of order):
We saw Komodo dragons in their natural habitat at the national park. Rian made sure we got some great pictures while maintaining a safe distance. We also had the opportunity to hike through the forest and see other wildlife, such as deer, wild boars, and monkeys.
So much snorkeling! We say manta rays, turtles, a little shark and so much more. I’ve never seen such an active reef, and Rian was so knowledgeable of all the wildlife.
On our last day, we visited the Rangko Cave. The cave was stunning, and we were able to see some amazing stalactites and stalagmites. Rian also took us to a waterfall, where we had a refreshing swim. The pictures he took of us here were breathtaking.
The rest of the crew was also elite. They didn’t let us lift a finger the whole time we were on the boat. Every meal was worth a Michelin star. They also took great care to cook things separately for me to accommodate an allergy which I really appreciated.
In all, I highly recommend Rian as a guide. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. He made sure that we had a safe and enjoyable trip, and he went out of his way to make our experience special.

A few questions
Where do we get picked up at our hotel in Nusa Dua? and you drop us off at the airport at the end? Do we arrange our own flight back to Bali or can you arrange that for us or bring us to the correct counter to purchase a ticket.
Secondly on the 3rd day you have no accommodations for us ? are we to sleep on the beach? and also we have no supper arranged or for the fourth day no breakfast/lunch if it runs that long. Can you clarify these points. Will Pascal be available to guide
