Stunning views, good food and nice animal talks
We got bus from Lonsdale Quay in North Van to Grouse Mountain (took 20 mins) or can get free shuttle from Canada Place in city centre. Big gondola ride rk get to top of mountain where visitor centre lodge and activites are. It is cold up there (1100 m up!) It was v misty and poor visibility and 3 degrees C when we went in mid May. So wrap up! But v atmospheric in misty trees, view limited though. Lumberjack show was awesome, funny and entertaining, the owl talk was interesting and the birds in motion talk was a must see! Seeing Grinder and Coola grizzly bears in their enclosure was also interesting. Amazing creatures, was a bit unsure at first but one od the volunteers took their time to talk a lot and answer questions about them so i was happy the bears were actually rescued and saved and given life, not bundled into enclosure for entertainment. Please ask questions about them before you judge. Food and drink nice and reasonable from lodge cafe. Mist finally cleared after lunchtime for amazing views from mountain! We walked thru trees abit, snow on ground! Then got ski lift up (abit scary!) to the peak lookout. You must do this, phenomonal views of surrounding mountains, city below, even over the Vancouver Island. On a clear day you can see about 50 miles. There are trails but we didnt have chance to do them. Loved our trip to Grouse Mountain. All staff were great, we had a fab day out.

      Disappointing Visit
The views from the Gondola Ride were breathtaking and the journey was the best thing about the trip. There was no Lumberjack show or Birds of Prey demonstration. None of the hiking trails were open. The 2 grizzly bears were in their small outdoor 'spring' enclosure. Only 1 café was open. As there is only 1 ticket price for the year I felt shortchanged. If attractions are not open in early May, there should be a reduction in ticket prices. Wait until the summer to visit.

Expensive when full activities and hike routes aren't available.
A very disappointing experience. The anticipated lumberjack show and thebirds of prey talk and show weren't operating as it is, apparently, the "shoulder season". No shoulder season price though so do not consider the cost justified or justifiable. Poor facilities for those with mobility issues, e.g. with stairs which are everywhere - to and from the Skyride, down into the gift shop, for example. Finally jonly a small coffee bar with long line ups was open.

      Hasn't Changed Since The 80s
While there is some upgrading going on it is way past due. The structure is aged and looking like no investment has been made for decades--which, given it is the only way to the top of the mountain, unless you're Grinding, it can by with. Does it do what it needs to? Yup. Is there anything special about the experience? Nope. Calling it a Super Sky Ride is generous. If you have any mobility issues...there are only stairs from parking lot to ticket booth. The staff, well, they are going through the motions. They got the job done but at a significant tourist attraction in the area? Things could be better.

      Best views of Vancouver!
A free shuttle bus runs regularly to Grouse Mountain and back from Canada Place, downtown Vancouver, which takes around 25 minutes. We arrived and got straight onto the gondola without any queuing. Once at the top there was plenty to do, if we had realised that there was so much to do and see we would've tried to arrive earlier! But in the time we had we did well! Bears, birds, lunch, chairlift to the summit, and we even watched the amazing Lumberjack Show, which, as I said was amazing! And as I said previously, the views back over Vancouver are stunning, the closer to the sky you are the better the views! At $79.00pp, I'd say it's good value for money.

      Snow time to do everything
Well organised and nice at the top. Cable car ride great, I don’t like heights but it’s stable and solid and easy to look straight out. Quite cloudy as just started to snow at the top, but views still really good. Nice cafe at the top and even though daylight the light walk was nice. Only a little frustrating to find despite early booking of tickets, only a days notice of a late opening, and as we had paid for other events could not stay long. This was on FB, perhaps emails could be automated too.

Great Cable Car Ride and Amazing Views
Cable car up to the top was amazing. Such a great view of Vancouver down below. It wasn't a sunny day and it was snowing once we got to the top. It was out of season so wasn't too busy. There was an ice rink. Staff were shovelling ice off the paths ready for the Peak of Christmas. The bears were hibernating. There was an incredible view past the bear den of the snowy mountains on the horizon. Probably not much to do here unless you're skiing.

      Scenic and interesting
My husband and I visited here by using the free shuttle from Canada place. We pre purchased our tickets but think you could also purchase once you arrive. The gondola ride although quite short shows fantastic views as you go very high up to grouse mountain. We arrived early as we wanted to see the early bear talk. This was really interesting hearing all about the 2 bears that were rescued and live there. We also listened to the owl talk and most of the bird of prey talk which were both interesting. We went on the ski lifts to the highest part which had beautiful views. Not maybe advisable if you don’t like heights as it is very high. We watched the lumberjack show which was very entertaining and very well done and very light hearted. We had a nice hot drink in the cafe looking down over Vancouver. You could quite easily spend all day here if you wanted. It was worth the money getting to see a variety of things and is worth getting there early to get to listen to the talks and see everything on offer there

      Enchanting Grouse Mountain.
We enjoyed our trip up Grouse Mountain, Vancouver, Canada. We were fortunate that the weather was good. We took the free shuttle bus from Canada Place, Waterfront, passing nice houses on a pretty road. Going up on the cable car gave us a different view of the city and surrounding area. There’s a restaurant where we grabbed lunch, sitting on the deck while we took in the view. There was plenty to do. We walked up the path, looking at the massive wood carvings, watched a birds of prey display. They are such beautiful birds. And we visited the 2 grizzly bears which had been adopted as orphans. They’re not savvy enough to live in the wild, but their enclosure is a good size, & they seem to enjoy living there. We didn’t visit the lumberjack display, but we could hear it as we walked around, & even when we took the chairlift to the top of the mountain. The air was beautifully clean at that height, and I relished breathing it.

Grouse mountain is an amazing place to go. We we’re constantly taking photos. So much to see. Absolutely incredible view
So much to see we did everything except ziplining and paragliding and the ropes adventure, disc golf, and of course the kids canopy adventure. The shows were awesome. Very informative. The timberjack show was entertaining for all ages. We will go do it all over again. Great place to spend the day 😃

      Great view, super sweet grizzly’s
We hiked up, I would recommend doing that as ist was much cheaper than riding up. It was quite tough but doable. On top, the view is gorgeous and there is a lot to do. Even watching grizzly’s. Definitely everyone in Vancouver should visit.

      Waste of money.
What a waste of money. Poor visibility took away any view. It was like a building site walking on uneven roads. Everything was closed. Two sad bears in the wet. A real waste of £80. Don’t bother.

Touristy yes but we were visiting as tourists. Saw the grizzly bears, the bird of prey flying demo and the lumberjack show. The weather wasn’t great so we had limited views in the gondola

Lots of fun for the kids. They enjoyed following the bear prints to find the grizzly bears. They also did a high ropes course with some small zip lines included in it. There was a tree house that our youngest played in whilst the older kids did the high ropes course. The high ropes course goes for approx 2 hrs. There was also an owl presentation that the kids enjoyed. The ride up the mountain was magical as we went through the clouds. Coming down the mountain, the clouds had cleared and a pretty view of a waterfall could be seen. The cost was a little on the higher side of the things we did on our trip but well worth it.

I did the ropes course with my 13 year old daughter and it was one of the highlights of our stay in Vancouver. It manages to be both fun and very challenging.

The intro course introduces you to the mechanics of the safety equipment and how to move along the safety lines. It is very short. The beginner course was more challenging than I expected for beginners, but it was a lot of fun. Out of our group of 11 who started the course at the same time, 3 people quit after the beginner course. The intermediate course is much more demanding than the beginner course. At least one person from our group opted to quit the intermediate course halfway through. Four of us who started together went on the the expert course. It is VERY demanding and requires a lot of upper body strength. I opted to quit at the halfway point, but my daughter finished all of it.

My one criticism is that there isn't anywhere along the way to get water. It was a hot day when we where there and I was quite thirsty by the time I finished the intermediate course. Take a water bottle with you and stash it at the entrance to the course.

As another reviewer noted, you do have to be fairly independent. There are more staff to help you on the beginner course than on the other two, just because more people do the beginner course. By the time you get to the expert course, it is hard to locate staff below you (but they definitely are there if you call out for help).

I felt very safe at all times and was impressed with the safety features. I would love to do it again.

Amazing course with four different levels (beginner-expert). Obstacles, zip lines, and a short Rockwall with wide variety of challenges. My husband and daughter spent almost 3 hours and still didn’t finish the last course.

Several times I heard the staff tell people that there would be “constant supervision “– just be aware that that is provided from a distance. While the staff is on the ground, there is no staff up on the courses. Independent problem solvers will do fine, but for people who need more support, don’t expect any handholding. Most of the guides are younger and to be honest, not very patient or encouraging. By and large they were pretty blunt including telling the father of a teenage girl “ Parents aren’t supposed to help.” A bit more diplomacy and encouragement would go along way I think.
