Overview
Cambridge is most famous for its university, with a history dating back 800 years. On this combo tour, explore the historic streets on foot, and take to the Cam River by punt (flat-bottomed boat), and see the city through the eyes of a Cambridge University graduate. Visit Corpus Christi College, The Eagle pub, and the Senate House, and follow in the footsteps of alumni Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking.
What to Expect
Make your way to King's College in central Cambridge, and meet your guide—a Cambridge University graduate. Then, set off through the city to begin your 90-minute walking tour.
Learn about the discovery of DNA in Cambridge, and visit the chapels and libraries for which the university is known. Explore sites of interest such as Corpus Christi College, Great St. Mary’s Church, The Eagle pub, and the Senate House, and hear tales of student life. Along the way, learn about famous alumni such as Prince Charles, Sir Isaac Newton, and Stephen Hawking.
Afterward, take to the tranquil waters of the Cam River by punt—a narrow, wooden boat ideal for these waterways. With your guide, admire sweeping views along the riverbanks and gain insight into 800 years of history.
Then, return to your starting point by King’s College to bring your tour to an end.

Great tour and punting.

Emily was a great tour guide who entertained and educated the group throughout the walk, answering all questions and bringing us to highlights of the university.

A must-do in Cambridge

I'm not sure how much difference there is between the various competing walk/punting tours in Cambridge but we were very happy with ours. A well-informed student guide for the punting (apparently after the start of the school year this is done by a professional, as...More

With just 1 day to explore Cambridge, I booked the combo punting/walking tour and had a really great day! Ian was charming and funny for the punt, and Maria was an outstanding walking guide, so knowledgeable and energetic! Great job all around!!
