    Couldn't have been more pleased!
Fantastic tour - worth every penny! Richard is incredibly knowledgeable about Winston Churchill and he his passionate about sharing what he knows (which is a lot). The Churchill War Rooms are incredible and a very powerful historical experience.

Learned so much from a true professional guide, about a towering figure in modern world history - Sir Winston Churchill!
Richard, as a guide, was perfect for the lead in acquainting me with Central London's geographic, cultural/social and political importance just prior to and during the life of Winston Churchill. While he kept me moving from location to location, he did not go so fast that I was unable to take a key photo or ask a question from time to time, greatly augmenting my knowledge via his responses. While exhibiting a truly unapologetic British accent, his speech cadence, volume and tonal qualities made his stories easy on the ear - and his vocabulary is wonderful! Another benefit of being led by Richard, is that he was so self-confident in his deep knowledge of the subject matter that he demonstrated complete composure even if I turned on my phone's video from time to time, as I was intent on preserving some of my lessons on the different eras of Churchill's life. Because of this, I will be able to revisit his teaching on the very interesting situations of Churchill's life, while back in the States. Finally, if you are only marginally interested in the life of such a historic figure, Richard's Tour is a blessing for tourists to connect with, as he is a professional in all that he does, guiding you through quaint streets of Mayfair, St. James Place, etc., (even suggesting an occasional restroom stop from time to time). Walking distance on this tour is significant, but his pace is not too fast. In all ways, I was blessed to have connected to Britain's (the world's) important past through Richard. Spend the money and learn all that you can in a period that is reasonable to spend on this tour.

Lovely walking tour around Richmond visiting filming locations of Ted Lasso
Brilliant walking tour with Richard around Richmond seeing a whole lot of filming locations for Ted Lasso. Met Richard in central London & caught the district line out to Richmond (end of the line). We walked all around the village, stopping to talk about different scenes from the series & take photos. It’s a really gorgeous village. Learned a bit about the history of Richmond too & Richmond Green. A very enjoyable walking tour with Richard. Thank you!

    Wimbledon 2024
Stay in the Kingston Richmond area for 4 nights and went to Wimbledon. Great time super chill for a quick trip from the states. Flights were all delayed but that more of the norm in today’s travel.

Ted Lasso Tour - July 2024
Richard’s Ted Lasso tour was simply amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We got to see several filming locations for the show, as well as learned a little local history along the way. Richard was very kind and made sure to take our picture at key locations. I highly recommend Richard and his tours!

A tour not to be missed .
Thanks to Adam who was a great tour guide . I rarely write reviews. I enjoyed it but sadly the pubs finish early here hehe . Same in Australia as well around midnight in some pubs .The company with other travellers I enjoyed as everyone shared their experiences. Tips and so forth . Nice being a solo traveller as you get to meet new people .

    Richard is Amazing!
Other couple canceled so we got Richard all to ourselves. He was marvelous and with our being fans of Dickens, Shakespeare and London's history, he wove for us our own tour personalizing it to what we were most interested in. Richard is incredible - very smart, great personality and sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and are still raving about this experience to all our friends 5 months later! We are sending them all his way for their trips this year to London, and we ourselves shall book him again when we return this December! Having been born in London and lived there, then moved to USA I couldn't believe the things I never knew and had never seen -- he is a treasure trove and all his well-known subjects about literature, history, EVERYTHING all overlap and contribute to -- when the end of the tour arrives you literally don't want to say goodbye. What a fabulous experience! Cheers, Richard!

My husband and I had a fabulous experience with Richard. The other couple canceled so we had him all to ourselves!
The other couple canceled so we had Richard all to ourselves. We are avid fans of Dickens and Shakespeare and London History and he weaved it all into a tour that we are still raving about 5 months later! Being born in London and having lived there and then moved to the US I was astonished at the places and things of which I had been unaware. It is true that one could spend a whole year in London and still not see everything, but being on a tour with Richard at the helm is a wonderful start! We enjoyed every minute from meeting him at Temple Station until we said farewell at the house he believes was the inspiration for where Scrooge lived in A Christmas Carol. I cannot rave enough about Richard, his knowledge, his great personality and sense of humor. We are sending all our friends who visit his contact info/website and we will definitely look him up when we are back in town later this year in 2024. Cheers Richard!!

    Wonderful 2hrs walk
Our knowledgeable guide Richard brought Churchill's story to life as we walked through the streets of London, visiting key locations that were significant in his life. We learned so much about his early years, his leadership during World War II, and his lasting impact on British history. And Richard was passionate about Churchill and we were captivated from start to finish and left the tour feeling inspired and enriched. Thanks for the fantastic tour!

Thank you so much for this lovely review! Yes, that week I lost my voice! Not the best thing to happen to a tour guide, but we managed it! and thank you for sticking with me. I hope to see you again for another tour, and one day to make a return trip to the wonderful country of Japan.
