Blackpool Tower Ballroom with afternoon tea
The Ballroom was amazing. Any photos could never do it justice its was so ornate. Both organs were played whilst we were there and an assortment of standards of dancing, all enjoying themselves. There was a bar serving snacks tea and coffee also a vending machine for sandwiches. We were served our afternoon tea by a lovely waitress but we were slightly disappointed in the tea. Felt the bread was cheap and the sandwich fillings were poor compared with other places and slightly stale scones in our opinion. This being said it was a lovely experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful Definitely worth a visit especially if you are a Strictly fan. If you are going to more than one attraction it is definitely worth buying a multiple attraction ticket as buying each attraction ticket is much more expensive.

Portadown's 'Big Anne's' Cafe has Good Food and Small Prices!
Visited Big Anne's Cafe/Restaurant on Bridge Street, Portadown, Northern Ireland, UK today (May 1st 2024) and found that this dinning operation in the County Armagh Town of Portadown has more than successfully filled the same space as the once well-known Town Cafe 'Wee Barney's' occupied for many many years. Simon served us, and we ordered an excellent chicken curry meal for my wife, a tasty omelette for myself, and a big pot of hot tea to wash it down. Excellent fare! The cubicled eating area had been reduced a tad from the 'Wee Barney's' capacity to house a new serving counter which now faces the entrance door of the Cafe, but continued to give the dining customer that vital feeling of privacy when enjoying the varied menu on offer. The Food was hot, well cooked, and tasty, the cubicles laid out with the usual array of brown/red sauces, salt, pepper, and sugar for the tea. Fresh milk was brought to the table with the good big pot of tea for two, obligatory but good quality paper napkins, and we got tucked in to what Simon and 'Big Anne's Cafe had served. Excellent good hot meal, tasty, good proportions, semi-private cubicles; and great variety of menu - and all at a most reasonable price range. Result! What more could the Portadown diner require to satisfy the culinary needs of a busy day, or a day trip to visit the old Town of Portadown? Well done, Simon and Staff! Well done 'Big Anne's Cafe'! Keep up the great work!

Don’t pay for or download the app!!!!
App is totally useless….doesn't tell you about any of the places. Definitely not worth the £15, the links on the sites just revert you back to trip advisor. Just download Google maps and walk round yourself. The quizzes ask you about places such as Runcorn and Macclesfield…again nothing about the various sites in Chester

780ft plus climb worth it if you have time to kill
It was a very steep climb and I am glad I made it to the top- it was nice and for me have seen so many views such as this so unless you want to climb up and you have a lot of time go for it. It is just a tower of importance but there is nothing else there . View of the coast on a clear day and lots of cows and beware as there maybe a bull lose in the fields .

      Ok but not great
Ok but not great. One round of local questions and most were generic uk ones. There wasn’t a hunt or puzzles. Lots of checkpoints to walk to. Some of the points were a long way away making it near impossible to finish in a day. For example a country park 20 minutes drive away. Not a bad way to spend the day but there are better more engaging tours available.

      A Day of Adventure
The interactive experience was engaging, revealing the city's charm and history. The app's seamless navigation enhanced the adventure. The Hidden Gems Game added a thrilling twist, discovering lesser-known treasures. The Big Britain Quiz was a delightful challenge, testing my knowledge in a fun way.

      So much fun!
This was so much fun! I loved the triple points boost, where you have to pick up the pace to get the most of your time. Will definitely recommend to friends and do another location. Thumbs up from me!

      A great day in Chester
Highly recommended. We had a great time while we were in Chester. I would recommend this to all my friends who are visiting the Chester area. As a life long resident of Chester I was surprised and gained knowledge that I never had before.

      Vaping indoors
While sitting we noticed a group of five people say behind us, vaping, I thought it was illegal to vape in a public building?. Then to our left another group of four were all vaping. While ago nine say there a bouncer was stood on the stairs watching all of them, and not one single thing was said to either group. We were absolutely annoyed and infuriated by the the total disregard of the law.

      Walks, views & picnics
All about the walking for us, Falmouth is so beautiful, both the sea and the town. Lots of independent cafes & food outlets for picnics along the way.

Easyjet android app and boarding passes
Digital pass kept disappearing and I had to reload. Decided to not close the tab overnight and the pass remained in the right part of the app. Am not a tech. person, but it worked. The pass is still there.

      Grand U Holidays
Grand UK Holidays 4th Sept 5 days St. Ives and Scilly. It was our first trip with this company. It took 6 and a half hours to get to main coach. In total the whole journey to and from St Ives from Sudbury Suffolk took 14 hours. The hotel room was dirty and the carpet had many bald patches and again very dirty. Room backed on to road with continuous traffic. Courier would not open side door on the coach when safe to do so consequently it took ages to get of off the coach, cutting our time for breaks which were fairly short anyway. The first and last holiday with this company. The whole trip was not worth the money and very disappointing. Speaking to others on the trip I was not the only one.

Port Tours in Guernsey, UK & Portland, UK
Our journey on the Island Princess was very enjoyable. Although we were disappointed in the declining quality of food, we found the service, friendliness of the staff, food presentation, & entertainment to be excellent. The itinerary was excellent as well. We did an independent tour with Tours of Guernsey which was outstanding. Our guide was very knowledgable, friendly, & professional. We visited the German Underground Hospital, a WWII museum & the Little Chapel. The Little Chapel was closed when we arrived but our guide was kind enough to check when it would reopen so we were able to return to see it. Those on the Princess tour who arrived when it was locked did not get that opportunity. Unfortunately we learned that Princess no longer plans to include Guernsey on its itinerary. We believe that this is a mistake since the island was both interesting, beautiful and its people exceptionally friendly. We hope Princess reconsiders their decision & keeps Guernsey on its itinerary since we'd love to return their again. In Portland, UK, we booked the Jurassic Coast Adventure with Dorset Tours. This is a relatively new company which goes out of its way to provide an excellent tour of the beautiful coast, Weymouth, & Portland. Spencer was an excellent guide who was friendly, informative, & professional. Don't hesitate to book a tour with Dorset Tours.

      Competitive Fun
It was something different, we very much enjoyed it but I do think some of the more obscure locations like Sheffield could do with an update because we ended up in some sketchy areas with no points of interest nearby. However we enjoyed it so much we’ve booked to redo the experience for a day in York.

We just enjoyed a week away on the Norfolk Broads and Norfolk Coast. We traveled with a Geohunt guiding us once again. We discovered so many great places off the beaten track. Great fun for the whole family.
