      Brilliant castle tour
Excellent trip with some great locations visited. Andy was very knowledgeable on the various places visited and open to questions about the history of each of them - recommended

      Excellent day
Brilliant tour, Andy was very informative, friendly and the tour was paced very well. I really enjoyed Tintern Abbey which Andy explained was at the heart of british tourism and the romantic movement. Would definitely book another tour again. Castell Coch is an absolute gem.

Adventure and joy. Wonderful experience. Cheers to Andy and Kate!
Andy is a super professional and efficient guide! He showed up right on time and provided us loads of options for the hiking paths. He brought us adventure and joy! While we walk, he constantly guided us through history of Walsh mining, geographical locations, industrial history and so much more. He’s greatly knowledgeable about the area. We had a wonderful time with Andy and Kate. Also they have two cute nature lovers called Mally and Lyrics, they are so well behaved and we love playing with them.

Great hiking experience for all abilities, must do for visiting the Brecon Beacons
Excellent guided hike through the historic southern entrance to the Brecon Beacons. Guides Andy and Kate have created a very nice route, bringing hikers to six waterfalls, several scenic vistas, working farmland, ruins, and more. Andy has a comprehensive knowledge of the intertwined history and geography of the area, sharing it along the way along with some good humor. Andy and Kate were very helpful both groups on the tour and ensured that everyone had a great experience. Hikers of all ability levels will benefit from booking this tour.

      Beautiful, diverse hike
A great experience with a small group (just three bookings). The pace was a bit fast but doable with enough time to take pictures and have a chat with Andy the tour guide. You see a lot of different sceneries from waterfalls to the forest to meadows. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful Wales on Cardiff's doorstep, the opportunity to visit a community and the desire to overcome adversity
Great start, with easy to find centrally located pick up point, that allows for a great coffee. Our guide Andy was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable on the area's history, environment and sense of community. The tour was very well paced with all the stops, we consider an absolute must, like the memorial to the Aberfan disaster, the winding beautiful access through and to the top of Brecon, the tasty and interesting Penderyn Distillery, the amazing 'Welsh Coal Mining Experience', stunning Castell Coch and lunch in a typical valley's high street. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting South Wales.

      Challenging but worth it!
Andy is a great leader and very knowledgeable. The route we took was challenging with stunning views. It was nice to get to the summit of Pen Y Fan from a different starting point. I would definitely recommend 👌

A first time experience for me!
If you are looking for a route that is not commonly travelled then this is the one to do! More of a social outing for me but one you can definiately trust to guide you on the path (with hopes that the weather is pleasant and you are not sick either!). All in all, a fantastic walk and great support!

      Windy and adventurous walk!
The weather was against us but that didn’t stop our intrepid leader Andy from showing us a little walked route with lovely views of a stunning watery valley topping out on pen y fan in the clouds! Strenuous but enjoyable! Thanks! :)

      Autumn walk through waterfall country
Great guided walk. Saw six impressive waterfalls. Trails were easy to walk but a bit wet in places. The guide was helpful in navigating from one valley to the next where there were no signs and giving background information on the history of the area, particularly the silicon mines. Falls were running particularly full at this time of year

What a fun exploration of 6 waterfalls with Andy as our guide.
We had a marvelous morning and afternoon as Andy guided us through the trails to explore 6 beautiful waterfalls, even walking behind one! We were given options for more adventurous routes which we happily took. The conversation was was great! Thank you Andy for the great memory!

The best hike I ever had!
Andy pick me up on time at plaza hotel at 8:30am, on 12/09, it was my first time to Cardiff, along the ways to hiking place, he did a great introductory about Wales to me. I learned a lot from what he had shared. Andy is a very friendly guy, it was a great 15km hike and walk and the view and the water falls was spectacular. I will join his walk again in the near future. Strongly recommend to join walk and hike with Andy.

      We recommend!
The day was rainy, but still everything was interesting and nice. Nice views, good “gang” and very good and experienced guide. 15 km to walk was not difficult, but good hiking shoes are recommendable. Value for money!

As always a great trip. Despite the unexpected weather conditions Andy adapted the route to ensure a safe ascent and we were treated to magnificent views and clean crisp white snow.
Andy as usual kept the conversation and banter going the whole time, and is a mine of knowledge about the area. An enjoyable and memorable first time up Snowdon and I am already planning my next trip

Amazing guided walk with Andrew. It was my first time up the mountain and I am a solo traveller so was a bit nervous doing it on my own. I am so glad I decided to go with the guided tour. Met great people and made even greater memories.

    Strenuous, not too tough

    862985981

We hiked to the top using the car park at Llanberis as a base. From here, it is pretty much a straight climb - initially on a tarred road, and then, through the rough mountain trails. At one point, roughly half-way to the top, there is a lovely little cafe that serves - you guessed it - coffee, soup, and some snacks; after that, the climb does become a little strenuous as we climb on cobblestones at a slightly steeper angle. Once past that, I chose to climb the rest of the way by following the tracks of the mountain railway all the way to the top. Nearer the top, it became chilly and a little windy too.

On the way down, I chose a little easier path by simply following the railway track to the point just before the cafe comes up; here on, I stepped gingerly down the grassy hill to join the original trail and descended all the way to the bottom.

The road up has many other alternatives - and it can take up to 2.5-4 hours depending on one's fitness levels. The path down takes a shorter time, naturally. However, be prepared for hurting toes - something I had - because although I was wearing a fairly good pair of hiking shoes, I have to choose still better footwear for the next attempt!

It is certainly a tough walk being the highest mountain in Wales. Well done and footwear is all!

I climbed mount snowden today, the miners path was my chosen route, the scenery was breathtaking, passing very close to some beautiful lakes, the summit was amazing, would definitely recommend doing this.

Good walk for which a guide is not necessary. His presence was however friendly and on the way back we left the marked path.

Very nice walk, doable without a guide. You still need a minimum of physical condition because it goes up quite a bit. The guide was very friendly, and we took an unmarked path on the way back to avoid taking the same path as on the way out. Be careful, it's cold at the top!
