Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands Day Trip from Glasgow
From US$60.77
Overview
If you only have a short time in Scotland, make the most of it on this guided day trip from Glasgow to Loch Ness, Glencoe, and the Highlands. Visit the country's most famous and most beautiful attractions while being seamlessly transported in a comfortable bus. Also see Britain's highest mountain and visit the charming town of Pitlochry while your explains the complex backstories and culture of this dramatic (in both appearance and history) region.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and group at the designated early morning pickup time. Board your air-conditioned coach in the center of Glasgow and settle in for the journey north, first passing by Loch Lomond National Park and its famously "bonnie, bonnie banks."

Continue into the Highlands, traveling by the dramatic landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount mountain range, toward Glencoe, a haunting site due to its history as location of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan, but also recognizable from the James Bond movie, Skyfall.

Continue past Loch Linnhe, one of Scotland's deepest lochs (lakes) and stop for lunch around Fort William (own expense). See Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis as you journey into the Great Glen. Travel through the charming village of Fort Augustus toward Loch Ness. Keep your eyes peeled for the famous monster and add on an optional boat cruise or Urquhart Castle tour (own expense).

Your tour continues north to Inverness, before heading back through Perthshire and the enchanting Forest of Atholl. Make a short break in the town of Pitlochry then conclude your tour back in central Glasgow.
