Overview

Traveling by water delivers a unique perspective on any city—and that’s especially true of Dublin, a city founded by Viking seafarers. Follow in the wake of the very first Dubliners as you paddle the River Liffey on this family-friendly Dublin kayak tour. Your dedicated instructor/guide ensures a trip that’s as safe as it’s fun—even for absolute beginners.

What to Expect

Greet your guide at the kayaking base in the heart of Dublin, and receive your lifejacket, paddle, and single or tandem kayak. Listen to paddling instructions and a safety briefing before you set off.

Your guide will identify some of Dublin’s best-known landmarks as you glide along the River Liffey. Look out for Irish favorites like Ha’penny Bridge, O’Connell Bridge, the Jeanie Johnston ship, and Custom House.

At the end of your kayak trip, return to base. After returning your equipment, change out of your wet clothes, retrieve any belongings you may have left in storage, and make your way to your next destination.

Ok but not great

The kayaking itself was ok but a bit boring. Up and down the same way and nothing special to see. Maybe the music Tour is a better choice.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE

Our wee man was incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s political and architectural history (ancient and modern). Highly recommend this tour if you want to see the city from a different perspective...leave the boring old bus and bike tours behind!

Brilliant activity

We had an absolute blast and really enjoyed our time kayaking on the Liffey. Lee was a great guide and, even though we've lived in Dublin for years, we learned a lot! I'd recommend this activity to anyone, whether you're a tourist or a local....More
