Located only thirty minutes South of Dublin it has mountains, cliffs, sandy beaches, hidden lakes, bogs and friendly villages. Glendalough's 6th Century monastic site will have you following on in the footsteps of St Kevin. Explore Wicklow Jail and experience the troubled times of the Irish Rebellion that took place back in 1798. Wander around and get lost in the beautiful gardens of Powerscourt and if you've time, grab a photo at the largest waterfall in Ireland.

This 6 hour private guided tour from Dublin will let you explore and experience Wicklow's amazing countryside. You'll have a local friendly and experienced guide who'll accompany you along the way. Our guides are natural story tellers full of passion and knowledgeable about the history of Ireland. They'll help you get the most out of your day.

What to Expect
Taking a private tour to County Wicklow means you are free to customize it however you like; let your guide know where your interests lie and he or she will be happy to change the stops or the durations to accommodate your preferences. After Dublin hotel pickup, sit back in your private tour vehicle and enjoy the scenery while your guide takes care of navigation and directions on the east coast route to Wicklow Gaol. Once you arrive, take an interactive tour led by actor guides to understand the history of its prisoners and make a stop in the Genealogy Room to trace your Irish ancestry.
Continue on to Avoca village, where you’ll make a lunch stop and have some time to shop for some of the town’s famous handicrafts. After that, depart for Glendalough, a monastic city founded in the sixth century where you can explore the grounds and the ruins.
The day’s last stop is Powerscourt Gardens, established in 1731. Take your time to walk through the sweeping terraces, statues, ornamental lakes, secret hollows, and rambling walks.
End your day with convenient drop-off back in Dublin.
