- Alessia M0 contributionsAmazing ExperienceThe experience is very interesting and the staff is amazing. Our guide was Lydia and she was extremely kind and competent. We took the standard 23€ package, with a tasting of three whiskeys and they were excellent. Definitely a good place to check out if you’re in Dublin even for a couple of days!Written January 29, 2025
- saravalentinah20210 contributionsAmazing experience!I had an amazing experience at the Irish Whiskey Museum! The tour was not only informative but also a lot of fun, and Linda was absolutely fantastic as our guide. She had a great way of bringing the history of Irish whiskey to life with her knowledge and enthusiasm. The tasting session at the end was the highlight for me. I loved how they explained the different flavors and aromas of each whiskey, making it easy to appreciate the unique characteristics of each one. It was an excellent mix of history, culture, and, of course, great whiskey! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin—it’s perfect for whiskey enthusiasts and even for those new to whiskey. Thank you for such a memorable experience! - 852lynneg0 contributionsHighly recommend this tourThis was a fascinating tour. I learned so more than how to taste whiskey. The discussion ranged from forgotten barrels of essentially moonshine to why the Irish Wake was developed. I feel badly that I don’t remember the name of my tour guide (something like Kelsey). She was fantastic. I also enjoyed getting to taste whiskey from a variety of distillers.Written January 16, 2025
- Morgen Q0 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic activity!Absolutely fantastic activity! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. - B189JVeriks0 contributionsWell Worth Doing! My partner and I visited in just before New Year's, and it was one of those things that we had walked past so many times without having done a tour. It was definitely worth it in the end. The sets, history, and of course the whiskey tasting were all enjoyable. Our tour guide was Briain, whose knowledge, humour, and palpable enthusiasm for his role made it, and I cannot recommend him or the tour enough. Keep it up!Written January 9, 2025

Tiernan is an amazingly funny tour guide and I’m writing this review purely for him.
His jokes and humour made it easy to remember all the interesting information about the history of Whiskey.
4/5 only because the Blending Experience was somewhat disappointing. You only try four Whiskeys all of which are standard Whiskeys. They do all have a very different character and flavour profile yet it’s still somewhat limited.
If it wasn’t for Tiernan I’d probably give 3/5, after all you’re paying good money.

The tour and the subsequent tasting (with blending) were excellent.
Our guide Callum was very friendly and humorous. He introduced us to the history of whiskey in a fun and captivating way in various rooms.
His English was very easy for us as non-native speakers to understand. After the tour he was happy to answer questions.

I recently organised an after work event for 15 persons from 5-6pm . Even though half of the group were present before 5pm Irish Whiskey Museum started the tour without checking with them if they on it. The other half arrived at 7 mins past 5pm and were told we could not do the tour. There was no refund and the only option was to come another time. Since the majority of us were from oversees this was not feasible. I found it unfair that we could not join the tour a little late considering we were the majority of the group.
I understand we were late and that is on us but they knew we were coming and seemed to ignore that. How they handled it was harsh and unfair. I raised the issue over email since and was met with a firm "we did everything we could" and still no refund, not even partial.
If anyone wants a 15 person ticket for a tour get in touch but don't expect a warm welcome or special accommodations. Oh and don't be late.

Hi Elaine,
We are very disappointed to read your review.
As we mentioned in our correspondence with you directly, your group arrived twenty minutes late for your scheduled tour at 5pm, which we have verified through our cameras. As this was not a private tour and had other guests on the tour, it is company policy not to disturb a tour almost halfway through as this is not fair to the guests or our guides.
The offer to use the tickets on another day is still there, or if you want to pass the tickets on that is no problem.
If you would like to discuss this further please contact us at info@irishwhiskeymuseum.ie.

This was a very fascinating journey through the history of Irish whiskey. This trip took us into different rooms where a new story was told with great enthusiasm.
The tasting took place in the last room where 4/5 different Irish whiskeys were served.
This under the guidance of a very nice person.
Definitely recommended for those staying in Dublin.

Our visit to The Irish Whiskey Museum with guide Breen was exceptional! Breen’s storytelling was captivating—he shared the history of Irish whiskey with such enthusiasm and knowledge that it felt like stepping back in time. The museum itself is beautifully curated, and the tastings at the end were fantastic. It’s the perfect way to appreciate Ireland’s rich whiskey heritage. Highly recommend this tour to whiskey lovers and history buffs alike!

We took the blending tour today at the Irish Whiskey Museum and were not disappointed. Andrew was a spectacular guide/host and truly brought the trip alive! Would recommend to anyone who wants to learn about all the Irish whiskeys and not just a specific brand.

We booked the Blending Experience and had a lot of fun. Our Guide Callum was great, very funny and we learned a lot about Whiskey and Irish history.
The tasting and blending wasn't quite what we expected, it was fun though.
The museum shop offers a nice variety of Whiskey, beware though they are about 20% more expensive than online.

The Irish Whiskey Museum: Whiskey Blending Experience is a great way to learn the history of the Irish whiskey industry from it's crash and near extinction to it's triumphant return.
They're an independent museum not backed by any one distillery so you get a non biased view of it all. On my experience we were guided through the museum by the hilarious and lovely Lydia. She kept every thing interesting and fun. This is no boring ol' dull tour with a non stop info dump. They make it very fun and there are some surprises. At least I was surprised several times during the presentation but I don't want to spoil anything.
Towards the end we got to taste 4 different kinds of Irish whiskey and then got to blend them in a glass at then end and pour them into a mini bottle to take home or welcome to just drink and enjoy them there.
It was a fantastic and fun time and if you're lucky maybe you'll get Lydia to be your guide!

Our tour guide was a most knowledge and funny gentleman. We learned the secrets of the Shebeen, where the concept of an Irish "wake" comes from, and the history of Irish whiskey in the Liberties and its successful export over the world.
I came away with much more knowledge and interest in Irish Whiskey and I now understand and appreciate this class of spirit much more than before.
The blending experience was more of a tasting. We had four different whiskeys, among which was the Powers Single Pot Still, the smoky Connemara and light Kilbeggan.

why cant I book a tour for 2 people on June 3?
Written February 21, 2020
If you go to the website you should be able to book it :)
Written February 23, 2020
Is there a waiting list? We would like to book for 2 adults on July 30th. It appears to only allow us to book for one.
Written June 1, 2019
I purchased my tickets in the place, about 3h in advance, the blending experience does have limited availability/limited seats so it will depend on the day and session in question. Staff was very helpful in store and there are a few sessions a day, so maybe if you can on an earlier session you may be able to take a later one.
