About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- declano3740 contributionsFares please,!Had a most enjoyable repast made possible by the exquisite driving of Robert and the delightful repartie & service from Adam, Rachel, & Logan. All the afternoon tea treats were provided and many tea & coffee choices . Naturally, alcohol is not served (never drink & drive children). I've taken quite a few AT's in my time and I'd do it again on the Vintage Tea bus before going to a hotel. My only teensy weensy quibble , and I'm embarassed to mention it for fear of exhibiting a shocking lack of afternoon tea savoir Faire, but clotted cream was used, where I tend to favour fresh whipped cream. Intriguingly said clotted cream came from....Rotterdam . 🌷🌷🌷. I'm a great fan of most things Dutch but saddened that no-one in our many cattled land can supply clotted cream. ☘️🐮🐮Written August 26, 2024

- StephB910 contributionsA happy birthday it was! 😊Cute morning out seeing parts of Dublin. Food was really nice, plenty of soft drinks available when you want aswel. The staff were lovely, as it was my birthday the cupcake and candle was a nice surprise, the singing of happy birthday was fun too and slightly embarrassing 😆. Thank youWritten August 26, 2024
- MariaEats0 contributionsWe loved it!I see very bad reviews here and I don’t get it. We were very happy with the tea trip. Food was yummy and great portions (we couldn’t finish! And they offer you boxes for take away), beverages are limitless and they even gift you the cute coffee cups used to drink. The tour is nice and you learn some fun facts about Dublin and the bus is clean and charming. Ofc the staff, nice and friendly and they encouraged everyone to sing happy birthday to one of the passengers. I think it’s a great activity for an afternoon tea!Written August 25, 2024
- D3286ZRalisong0 contributionsAfternoon Tea on WheelsGreat experience..just a different way to enjoy afternoon tea. Adam was a great host and the onboard servers(Rachel and Logan) were very friendly. Also have to mention Robert for driving us around our wee tour of Dublin thank you. Was my birthday and got a little cake and candle to blow out. Thank you all for making it a lovely experience.Written August 25, 2024
- Connector7859810 contributionsLovely tripSince I came to Ireland, two years ago, I wanted to go on this kind of trip. Everytime I saw the bus I was thinking that I would like to be on it. And finally my wish came true. It was a very enjoyable trip, I felt cosy and relaxed, I had a lovely tea, the food was enough, different type of sandwiches and cakes, the personnel was friendly, cheerful and very helpful. The music was also good. It was definetly a lovely trip. If you don't know much about Ireland or Dublin, the guide explains few things, but you also have time to chat with your companions.Written August 24, 2024

- Thehorsedentist0 contributionsAbsolutely BrilliantAbsolutely brilliant. It was just a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. From the warm welcome Adam, Orlaith, Ella and Robert gave us the whole trip around Dublin and back to Stephen's Green was simply awesome. The food was amazing, the light-hearted banter along the way mixed in with some amazing facts about Dublin the time just flew by. I would highly recommend it to anyone especially families with young kids as a great way to take in a lot of the sights of Dublin from the comfort of very cool vintage bus.Written August 12, 2024
- AnnetteO6530 contributionsAnother fantastic trip on the Vintage tea bus tripHad a brilliant trip on the bus to celebrate a friends birthday and Leah, Anna and Orlaith definitely made it special for her. Everyone sang Happy Birthday and she got her own cake with a candle. She was totally surprised and said the Vintage Tea Bus was the best birthday present she had ever received she absolutley loved it. She is now going to bring nieces for their birthdays she loved it so much. I think it is just an excuse for her to go again.:) And of course a big thanks to Liam who did the driving. I will definitely be back again. Of course I should also say that the food was delicious a real treat. Overall a fantastic experience. Loved it.Written May 30, 2024
- Roisin11020 contributionsDo it! And you’ll want to do it again!Such a lovely bus (Jean) and loved the decor. Booked as a birthday treat for my goddaughter (11), her mother / my friend, her sister (22) and my son (2.5 toddler) - all loved the experience and would recommend to others. The table set ups were cute and so well thought out - had cup holders for your drinks and mats to stop plates & cake stands from sliding around. Had two vegetarians who were accommodated for and the child afternoon tea was Nutella sandwiches and ham & cheese brioche buns - much more suitable for kids. The scones were served warm and Dev & Robert would come around to top up our beverages. Got a little muffin for my son. They even brought a cupcake out with a candle to my goddaughter for her birthday and sang “happy birthday”! The host / tour guide Hannah was brilliant, so friendly and funny, and although I’m living in Dublin, she told me things I didn’t even know about the city. Finally bus driver Robert was such a lovely man and a great photographer, getting all the angles you would want!!! Cannot recommend doing this more and will definitely do it again!!Written February 5, 2024

- Romey F0 contributionsDelightful Afternoon Vintage Tea Trip with Anna and AdamI brought my mom and my little sisters on the afternoon tea trip on Sunday at 1.30pm and it was absolutely delightful. Adam was the tour guide, he was very informative and interactive with everyone on the bus and thought us a lot about Dublin that we didn’t know before. We are from Dublin and this was something different and lovely to do with friends or family. It was my moms birthday and Adam made it very special by getting everyone to sing happy birthday to her. Anna looked after us and she was friendly and greeted us with a smile and brought us as much tea, hot chocolate and juice as we wanted and even brought us freshly baked scones. The food was amazing and filled me for the rest of the day. I would 100 percent recommend to anyone who loves afternoon tea and to feel a little fancy. Adam and Anna went above and beyond to make our tea trip the wonderful experience that it was.Written January 9, 2024

Booked entire bus for birthday party. The tour had a delayed start(our fault) but the driver didn’t follow my directions and drove into a small housing estate and turning a double decker bus was difficult and added to the delayed start. We eventually got on the road and the driver drove extremely fast to make up time. We were unhappy about this but were told he needed to make up time. Promises about the service we were made by Ciara at Vintage Tea. The tour would take in Christmas lights in Dublin and while not an official tour of Dublin some facts would be given at tourist spots. Neither happened, but we did travel up and down Aungier Street so the bus driver could use the bathroom.
Service and food could only be described as below average.
All in all a disappointing event.

Took the tour on a Saturday afternoon... booked for my sisters birthday. Seating on the bus is allocated on a first book service but when booking there is no way of knowing where you will be seated on the bus(unless you book vip seating of which there are 4 seats). On the day we arrived 15 minutes early as requested but were not allowed to board and were made wait at the side of the bus. We were seated downstairs which was disappointing as I thought I had booked early enough to be seated upstairs. There was a young child in our party who was extremely upset because she thought she was getting to sit upstairs. The upstairs was filled on the day by a hen party. The tour guide is supposed to spend the time on the bus between upstairs and downstairs which was not done and all comments/ questions were directed at the hen party who had little/no interest... only asking the guide when we were getting back to temple bar. On top of this already disappointing experience were were left short some sandwiches which we only discovered after the tour. Company claims scones are freshly baked every morning and deliver to the bus. In my personal opinion they were not fresh baked scones but removed from a package and heated on the bus. We were allowed upstairs when the tour finished to be met with empty alcoholic cans and half eaten food. Not the experience I wanted for my young daughter. Overall a disappointing Experience with poor interaction by the guide, mediocre food and poor customer service. Good for a photo opportunity but nothing else. Far better afternoon tea in Dublin to be had elsewhere.

Hi Zara, again we"re sorry the trip did not meet your expectations on the day.. if only you had of requested upstairs on booking we could have moved you to a later tour. For all the reasons discussed off line in connection with our booking policy we just couldn't accommodate your group upstairs as the other party had exclusive use of the space.
Our scones are baked fresh each day. You may have seen a Gluten Free scone in a package. This for obvious reasons needs to be kept separate from the traditional scones we have on board.
Our team were also left upset after the event onboard.. they did try their best to facilitate your needs on the day as they go above and beyond for all our guests where possible.
Regards...
Karen

I recently went on the tour as a present for my wife. From start to finish this trip was outstanding. We were greeted by the most friendly staff you could wish for. Kelley offered to take a picture of my wife and myself as we never get to get any pictures and dont like to ask people😂
Megan was the tour guide, Megan was charming, funny and so full of knowledge, even though I am from Dublin I still learned lots about the hidden gems in the city.
The staff could not do enough, constantly asking if we would like more tea/coffee and the selection of cakes and sandwiches were delightful. The warm scone is amazing.
Glass of Prosecco in Dollard & Co after the tour is so refreshing.
My wife forgot her hat, but within ten minutes Megan phoned me to let me know. Such professional staff.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough and deserves more than 5 stars.

We did the €25 hop on where you just get a scone and unlimited tea and coffee. Was the perfect amount. Scones were large and delicious and heated up for us. Real treat to get clotted cream with them! (Hard to find in Dublin) Great surprise to get to keep the cup! Hosts were so attentive (Daniel and Anna) and the information and stories Anna gave us were new and exciting even to a local. Of course the vintage bus was a little bumpy but The driver Liam did a great job navigating us through the wind and rain.

I was very much looking forward to this tour but I must say I was more than disapointed.
Me and my friend arrived very early hoping to get seats on the second floor of the bus since we thought we deserved a view for the money we spent on the tickets. But we would soon discover that seats were already assigned and to my great disappointment the seats were not only downstairs but even behind the driver so we couldn't even look out of the front window. There was no option to choose the seats and the ones we got very annoyed me, they should have been a lower price the rest since I couldn't see anything.
Food and drinks were fine but not good enough to distract me from the annoyence over the seats.
Staff was friendly and accomodating, can't say anything bad about them.
Still don't think it was worth the price which I find ridiculous for what it was.

Hi Valzbeta. I'm very sorry you were disappointed. Unfortunately with social distancing we've gone from being able to have 24 on the upper deck to now just 12. Seats are allocated on a first booked, first served basis with us filling the upper deck first. It's a tough time with social distancing and reduced occupancy but the health and saftey of our staff and guests come first.
Thank you for your kind words about our staff.

Great idea for an innovative tour and way to see the city; it just wasn't for me. While I enjoyed the music and seeing parts of the city with more of a birds-eye view, I felt the food was average, the tour guide (while friendly) was so loud I left with a headache, and I did not see or learn anything new. I see why the tour would be appealing, particularly to those who may want a break from walking the city; I just felt there were other activities and attractions more worth the time and price associated with this tour.

Great experience for all ages-- we had 3 generations in our party, aged 11 to 76. Despite the description that it was more tea than tour, there were just enough stories and facts from Daniel to make the ride thoroughly entertaining without information overload. We had ordered both the traditional menu as well as the vegetarian, and neither disappointed. Service by Dev and Ella was stellar and cheery. The drive by Paddy was smooth. AND the entire team was so kind as to wait for my party to find parking and board. I would recommend this experience to any Dublin visitor, especially one with limited time to see the city.

I am a lover of sweets and desserts and having the opportunity to walk around Dublin while enjoying an Irish tea was spectacular.
This is an ideal experience to do as a couple or with your family as you will tour the city, learn interesting facts and eat delicious food.
I recommend not having lunch or breakfast (depending on the time you go) to be able to enjoy and eat without guilt all the sweets. I also liked the duration of the tour that will give you time to do more activities in a day since it is only 70 min approx.

Bus was late which was not an issue but our trip was cut short as a result which was a issue.
Girls serving were nice but trip was rushed.
50 euro per person at the time was way to expensive and not worth it. For what we experienced.
I will not recommend this to anyone and I have done many afternoon teas.
Historical talk was insulting and more fiction than truth. Get that you have to tell sucker tourists a story but don't belittle our head of state or moch our country. Dublin is full of history which is easy to regurgitate if you want to entrain tourists.
Very disapointed by trip.

Hello!
I don't know if they would offer a tea-only discount so I suggest you contact them directly. I do know that they accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or vegetarian options because we requested vegetarian on our tour.
Hope you enjoy the day!
