Cliffs of Moher and Burren Day Trip, Including Dunguaire Castle, Aillwee Cave, and Doolin from Galway
US$35.07
Overview
Enjoy hassle-free transportation to the Cliffs of Moher on this guided tour from Galway. In addition to walking across the famous cliffs, take in many more of western Ireland's best sites along the way and listen to informative commentary from your guide. See the 16th-century Dunguaire Castle and Aillwee Cave, and explore the fascinating limestone landscapes of The Burren, where you might spot some rare flora.
What to Expect
After pickup from your Galway hotel, meet your guide and journey to the Cliffs of Moher by air-conditioned coach.

Your guide provides insights into the history and geology of Ireland's western seaboard. At The Burren, explore the moonlike landscape, home to some of the world's rarest flora.

Then, head for Dunguaire Castle, set along Galway Bay, for photos.

Continue to Aillwee Cave, a series of dramatic underground caverns and tunnels, for a guided tour or to visit the Birds of Prey Experience (both own expense).

Next, walk the trails to several viewing platforms at the Cliffs of Moher. In the summer, look out for puffins and other seabirds nesting on the cliff edge. A visitor center has interactive exhibits and a virtual reality cliff-face adventure.

Eat lunch (own expense) at Doolin and then head back to Galway along the coastal route. Your tour concludes with a drop-off back at your hotel.

My son liked it and he is 13. There are plenty of places to stop and get snacks and ice cream. They can also nap. The teens all seemed OK with it. If you had an itchy 8 year old, it may be too much. I was afraid to make... More
