- ninok7500 contributionsA Culinary Adventure in the Latin Quarter (with our guide Emy)Visiting Paris through a food tour in the Latin Quarter was an amazing idea. This area is less known than Montmartre, but it’s incredibly charming. It's not touristic and we didn't have to keep walking uphill! Rue Mouffetard is one of the oldest streets of Paris and it had real good vibes around the french lifestyle with all the markets, shops, restaurants...a unique and authentic atmosphere. Our guide, Emy, was genuinely caring about making sure we had a great experience. At the cheese store (fromagerie), Emy took note of our preferences and created a personalized plateau de fromage that was spot-on. At la Petite, everyone was very welcoming and sweet. At the restaurant Pipos, we had beef bourguignon with mashed potatoes that we loved so much. If you want to explore a more off-the-beaten-path part of Paris, with delicious food and a friendly guide, this tour of the Latin Quarter is a must.Written September 23, 2024

- IconicTravelReviews0 contributionsParis Montmartre Foodie Tour With Tastings - BrilliantWhat a wonderful way to explore a lively part of Paris with an excellent local guide. Catherine was knowledgeable, thoughtful and charming. We enjoyed Choupettes, Boeuf Bourguignon with a glass of red wine, a wonderful selection of cheeses, Macarons and crepes at five different venues as we wound our way up the hill to Sacre Cour. Thoroughly recommended.Written September 13, 2024
- katheywise0 contributionsWonders of the Latin Quarter Food TourThe tour was much better than we had imagined it would be. Our guide, Emy, was exceptional. She moved at our pace and was wonderful to explain the sites in a manner which was very interesting and fun. The food was great and the staff were welcoming. I would do the same tour again and recommend to my friends and family. Thank you Emy for an amazing Parisian memory.Written September 13, 2024
- 973marilouh0 contributionsLatin quarter Food tourEmy was amazing and the food was fabulous! We started with cheeses and French bread, had the most delicious beef bourbuignon and ended with crepes and soux which is like an eclair but with different fillings. Wear comfortable shoes for walking on the cobblestone streets. Highly recommend this tour.☺️Written September 12, 2024
- D6670PCdylank0 contributionsGreat food, great experience and great sights! 😍The experience was simply amazing - our guide and buddy Catherine was a delight to spend a few hours with and was very smart and knowledgeable. She was very patient and outgoing, it was great to get to know her. All the sights that we took in was amazing, as well as learning about this history and present history of the Latin Quarter of Paris - and we tasted some amazing food along the way as well (especially the cheeses and the main course!). I hope to do this experience again with others.Written September 4, 2024
- Relax7893300 contributionsA food tour that exceeded our expectations with Do Eat Better and Emy our guideThis food tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide Emy was warm, very funny and explained a lot to us about the neighborhood and French cuisine, she even gave us information to make the rest of our stay in Paris go as smoothly as possible. They make sure to adapt the tour to our food allergies and preferences. We made 5 food stops, tasted cheese in a superb cheese shop with a wide choice, charcuterie on the terrace of a brasserie which really gave us a very Parisian atmosphere, then we tasted a delicious beef bourguignon in a restaurant that dates back 100 years, with amazing decoration, we were already full but we couldn't resist the crepes and cream puffs (choux a la creme). Everyone was particularly warm, friendly and helpful. Wear comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking and, above all, arrive on an empty stomach.Written September 1, 2024

Kevan took us through the heart of Montmartre, stopping at local spots to try chouppettes, beef bourguignon (I might be spelling that wrong), and a delightful cheese platter. The macarons were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the crêpes were perfection. Kevan made the experience fun and educational with his stories about Montmartre’s history. A must-do for any food lover!Written August 18, 2024

In Paris for the olympics we wanted to do something different, so a guided tour with eating local appealed. We met our guide Kevin outside the moulin rouge and headed up towards montmartre. First food stop was to eat choupettes in a small bakery. Delicious cream filled chou pastries. Then on to Abbesses to view the amazing church and hear some local history. We ate boeuf bourguignone in a local restaurant, and had a great discussion about French politics, the Olympics, and a few others topics. Kevin was great, able to explain lots of thing we hadn't known before and willing to talk about anything. We headed further up the hill for cheese in another local restaurant and then took on the steps to montmartre. We had also seen the I love you wall and picasso workshop, refilled our water bottles from a Wallace fountain...who we immediately looked up. Having wandered through the artists in the square we collected some macaroons and then completely stuffed we squeezed in a crepe! Final stop was outside the Sacre Coeur where we said goodbye to Kevin. It was a very quick 3 hours and we were shown things we would not have found on our own. Kevin was a great guide, very personable and interested in us as well. It was unexpected that we were just 2 of us, normally groups would have been bigger but it was to our benefit.

We just spent a perfect afternoon walking or at times sort of hiking food tour around Montmarte area , learning about French traditional meals, desserts and variety of cheeses with our fun and knowledgeable tour guide Nino. His insights regarding French history and traditions were impeccable. He is very fluent in English which made it easy for us to understand his narration of events and important details about the tour. He is extremely patient and considerate of the other part of the group who needs extra time because of difficulty managing stairs or incline areas or for those who simply needs extra time for their selfies. The food that we had tasted great, especially the cheese part. The tour also included the Sacre Couer Basillica which was an amazing way to end the day.

This was a great tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to others.
Our guide Kevan was really knowledgeable and was able to reel off facts without it feeling fussy or formal.
All the food stops felt like places a local might visit and the quality was really high. We had Chopettes instead of charcuterie but we both loved the chopettes and so it was a great switch.
The tour included more local history than I was expecting, which was an added bonus and had a good balance of walking to rest.
Finally, we were fortunate enough to have a small group and everyone was so lovely. We had a great time!

One of the highlights was tasting the famed macarons and choux pastries from a renowned local patisserie. The delicate textures and vibrant flavors were simply unforgettable. Our journey continued with a visit to a creperie, where we enjoyed freshly made crepes that were both sweet . Emy our guide was caring and interesting to talk with about the french traditions and lifestyle.

We had a lot of delicious food and a journey of taste with culture. Catherine was our guide and did not disappoint. She was warm, engaging and a knowledge of information. She took us to the bakery, meat market and a lot of sights in between. We stopped to eat our bread and meats at a sweet little park which is also a famous artist landmark! We had time in between to walk and digest. The next stop was lunch steak frites (steak, french fries) and wine. the shop owners were very kind and accommodating. After our lunch we went to a shop for cheese, wine and learnt about the various types tastes and textures. A wonderful experience. We had a special food surprise and then crepes! The area was quaint and so much fun. Thank you Catherine for making our first day in Paris amazing!!!

We were 9 in the group. Catherine was accommodating, well-knowledgeable and funny, would highly recommend her. It is me and my husband's first food tour and definitely not the last one. Food was great, uphill walk, and a little bit of history. Make sure to wear your most comfy shoes.

We had the pleasure of savoring delicious macarons and perfectly crafted choux pastries, both of which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. One of the standout moments was enjoying a traditional boeuf bourguignon at a charming local restaurant. The rich, hearty flavors of the dish were truly memorable. Emy was a wonderful and caring guide. It was like visiting Paris with a new friend.

We returned to Paris 33 years after visiting Paris on our honeymoon & I was quite depressed over how big & commercial it has become. However, Emile took us to Montmartre and the streets, food & atmosphere reminded me of the Paris I remembered from long ago! Thank you for a great time, Emile! Well done!
