Stop: 3 hours - Admission included
Walk in the footsteps of former kings and queens of France on a guided, 3-hour tour of the Palace of Versailles. Meet your guide and your small-sized group in central Versailles, a short trip outside of Paris, and beat the long entrance queues at the palace with skip-the-line access. Wander through many of the hundreds of lavishly decorated rooms including the Hall of Mirrors, Royal Apartments, Apollo Room, Coronation Room and Royal Chapel. As you explore, listen to tales of royal intrigue and learn about the history behind the UNESCO World Heritage–listed palace. After the Palace tour, emerge back into the sunlight for a guided stroll through the stunningly elaborate Versailles Gardens, comprising more than 1,800 acres (728 hectares) of artfully manicured flower beds, hedge art, fountains and statuary. With an optional upgrade, witness the fountains come to life during a spectacular water show, or visit on a Tuesday to enjoy the sounds of classical music cascading through the gardens.

Toured Versailles with a group of 10. Guide was sexist, homophobic and boring. My City Wonders ticket said we were to be there at 10:20 with tour to start at 10:30. We didn’t start until 11. We did 2 others tours this week that were wonderful with personable, engaging guides.

Hello Christine D, Thank you so much for having taken the time to post a review. I'm very sorry to hear that your tour did not meet up your expectations. Please note that you can find a disclaimer on the confirmation voucher received upon booking the tour, advising to wear comfortable shoes, as the tour involves a fair amount of walking. Moreover, bringing a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water are always recommended in warm weather. Our company try to provide clients with a personalized experience, by setting up a max pax on our tours; but sadly, we have no control over the number of visitors allowed inside the venue. We understand that during summer time, the number of people visiting the Palace is higher than usual, and our guides try their best to navigate through the crowds, but sometimes this may not be achievable. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to you. We were also surprised to hear your feedback about the service which your tour guide provided you with, as we haven't got any similar comment from the rest of your group. Nevertheless, at City Wonders, client's feedback it's important to us, as it helps us improve, so we would very much appreciate if you send us privately your booking reference/voucher number so that we can look into this and follow up with the guide in case it's needed. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon. Best regards, Moisés, City Wonders team.

With all the fanfare and opulence, I can see why the peasants revolted! The palace is magnificent; the art is amazing and the gardens were over-the-top spectacular Even though we purchased tickets before we arrived, there was still about an hour long wait to get to the

It’s worth it to get tickets in advance and come early or late in the day, lines can get pretty long, which means tour will also be slow as you’ll have hundreds (seems like thousands) of other people with you or ahead of you. The opulence in the chateau is remarkable, but I
