      Interesting but overpriced
Incredibly overpriced although very interesting. I would suggest that you do the various tours individually without going through a tour operator unless money is no object.

      Great experience
We had such a great afternoon with Jean-Luc. The bikes were easy to ride and the route we took was not difficult and with very little traffic. We also had very enjoyable and informative gastronomic experiences. Jean-Luc was great company, he answered all of our questions and his knowledge, passion and humour made for a memorable day trip near Cognac. We highly recommend it to everyone who wants to know about Cognac and a historical, technical and artistic appreciation of cognac making.

An excellent course and a real Masterclass
Excellent and informative morning with Jean Luc. Fantastic history lesson on the origins of Cognac, how it is made and finally how to taste it. Everything we had wanted from the course. Jean Luc speaks very good English. After we headed off for a lovely lunch at a restaurant recommended by Jean Luc and then onto a small private Cognac producer to buy some small batch Cognac we had tasted earlier.

I must do when you go to the cognac region!!
A wonderful experience, Jean-Luc Was an exceptional guide and knew all about the history. Went to our own pace, and the bikes were easy to use. We probably would’ve liked more drinking less riding. 🙂

      A True MasterclSs
I learned so much. Before this class I didn’t understand how to approach tasting cognacs or visiting distilleries. Now I can appreciate cognac more than just taste

      Education in Cognac
Jean Luc was was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. He and his wife have beautiful BAndB in the heart of the Cognac region. He can also get you an experience with a distiller to give you a more comprehensive education in the art of creating congnac. It was well worth the price and effort to get this experience. Five stars

      Going the extra Miles!
I was on a Princess Cruise that docked in La Rochelle, France about 2 and a half hours away from this establishment's Masterclass. Since starting my cruise I wanted desperately to visit the region of Cognac and learn about them, from how they are made to the difference in the soil, aging, and all sorts of other factors that could alter the alcohol. My excursion on Princess Cruise Lines did not meet the minimum number of requirements to staff a tour so we last minute booked this amazing tour which turned out to be far better than the there tour overall. After waiting a while to find a taxi we arrived late for the Masterclass and we didn't speak any French. The owner and his wife were more than accommodating helping us to communicate in French-English with the Taxi driver. We explained our situation to them and how we had to be back at the Cruiseship by a certain time. Off we went to the class and while we did that they kindly organized a taxi for us and explained everything to them beforehand to save us any confusion. The class was amazing and broke down the history, and olfactory stimulation, and we even got to try 4 different Cognacs which we were 'tested' on to try and figure out the 'notes' in the flavor of each one. After our long trek, the Masterclass professor even drove us into town to find our arranged taxi. Their above-and-beyond customer service makes me wish I could rate this place higher. Thank you for making my birthday so special!

Fantastic tour of the Cognac vines!
Fantastic 2 hours exploring and learning about the vineyards in the Cognac area. Jean-Luc was a fantastic guide, broadening our knowledge of this incredible area. The tour of the Forgeron distillery to finish off the trip was absolutely fantastic as well. Would recommend this to anyone.

Amazing experience with a fantastic Cognac expert!
Set in a beautiful location in the heart of Cognac country this was an incredible experience. Jean-Luc was an incredible expert. The whole history including the significance of things like the 100 year War was fascinating and I wish Jean-Luc had been my history teacher at school. The tasting was equally brilliant and really helped me understand the flavours, where they came from and what influences their development. This was a very accessible masterclass that didn’t require previous experience. I have done a few of the bigger distillery tours and while they were interesting I would pick Jean-Luc every time! Fantastic and will be recommending to all our guests and friends.

      Brilliant experience, do not miss!
Everything about this experience was great! The rolling hills, the bike ride through (and up and down!) the Vineyards was fantastic. I think the best thing about this tour is Jean-Luc himself. He knows everything about the history of the area and we had some fun and frank conversations about our English heritage and its link to France. I feel as though this wasn't just a trip out but a history tour. It's beautiful here and we have already recommended this to friends and family. A must see! Electric bikes were easy to use and modern Plenty of sights to see A nice relaxing tasting at the end

      An incredibly informative experience.
This was an incredibly informative lecture and tasting on the history, evolution and art of making Cognac. I was able to gain incredible knowledge from the course and was lucky enough to taste three craft growers Cognacs that I would have not otherwise ever been able to experience. I highly recommend this Masterclass for anyone who wants to gain a rich knowledge of Cognac and how it came to be what it is today.

today we had a wonderful experience with a private guide. we drove through the beautiful areas of cognac. the guide told us a lot about the history of the area. the information was more than expected and was great. At the first stop we learned a lot about cognac making and with the occasional delicious sip of great cognac varieties. then at the 2nd stop we tasted cognac that had been processed for cocktails. it was a great experience and really recommend to do a private guide for an excursion. big thumbs up

Our group of four were met at the Angoulême station and we spent the day with JeanLuc.He has extensive knowledge of the region, the viticulture of the vines ,the production of Congac and the marketing. We toured in his comfortable vehicle and visited various Congac wineries and an artisan Vinegar cellar that produces excellent vinegars from the grape crushing residue. We lunched in a small village restaurant and he returned us to Congac to our accommodation. We highly recommend his tours.
