      Not Worth It!
Not worth it at all. The tour lasted 2.5 hours total and we visited two wineries that had small tastings (that would have been free if we drove the 30 mins there ourselves). In addition, there was no experience at all. Drive, two small/basic tastings, and drive back. We didn’t even get a bottle of water! I typically love tours but this one is definitely not worth the money at all.

      Great Day, Great Tour
This was an awesome way to visit this wonderful world wine region. Our driver/guide Julian was excellent, explaining the region along the way, pointing us in the direction of great food during the lunch break, and giving us enough time to explore and take pictures. I highly recommend this small group tour. This is my 5th TripAdvisor tour, and they have not disappointed. The van was also very comfortable, and the ride went quickly. The small group allows you to get to know your fellow travelers.

      Highly reccomend!
We had a lovely time on our wine tasting trip with Ophorus Provence. We had a lovely host who accompanied us to two wineries and helped to share more information about the region and wine making process. She also fit right in with our group and matched our energy and humor which was an above and beyond experience. I would recommend this experience with no hesitations.

      Avoid this tour company!
On June 20 my family took the tour of Arles, Saint-Rémy and Les Beaux. I am an experience traveler, and I must say in all of my years of traveling, this was the worst tour I ever had. We started the tour in Arles. In addition to the Roman attractions, the Ophorus website states, “ Step into the world of Vincent Van Gogh as you trace his artistic journey during his stay in Arles between 1888 and 1889. Discover the locations where he found inspiration through panels showcasing his paintings.” Our guide only took us to one spot where Van Gogh was said to create a painting. I asked about the Van Gogh panel sites all over town. The guide said there was no such thing. On our free time, I found them myself and took pictures and came back and showed them to her. When I mentioned what the tour website said about Van Gogh locations, the tour guide said she doesn’t know what’s on the website, rather she is told to do her own tour. After we left Arles (and on the way to the next location), the guide did not talk or tell us anything throughout the entire journey about the area or what we were going to see. Only once on the way to Saint Remy, she pointed out the national park and said “here’s the national park” without any information about it whatsoever. When we got to the village, the only thing she said about the village was that it was a small village with shops and restaurants—nothing about the village itself. When everyone else got out of the car, I spoke to the guide briefly about the tour. She said she could talk as much or as little as we wanted her to we just have to ask her questions. I said it’s not my job to ask you questions. It’s your job to be a tour guide, once you give me information then I can ask questions. After our discussion, she did make an attempt to provide information in Les Beaux but by that time it was our last stop in the tour was almost over. I was so disappointed that I immediately canceled another tour with this company during our trip. The agent on the phone was dismissive, not apologetic and did not attempt to remedy my concerns.

      Outstanding Wine Tour from Aix
The tour with Camille was outstanding! After a short, very comfortable van ride from Aix, we visited Bargemone and Chateau de Beaupre vineyards. We walked through gardens, viewed a magnificent chateau, and enjoyed delicious, informative tastings. Five stars

      Great time!
Our tour guide, Caroline, was knowledgeable and funny. My friends and I had a great time. My only suggestion is that the tour include food pairings or food options. The tour started at 2pm, so we were famished! But I would do it again and recommend it to others.

      Great tasting and Info
Nice trip great guide/driver went to two winery’s only complaint is that booking with Viator I had to pay for two because they would not allow only one person to book … this seems to happen quite often with this company

Excellent quick wine trip in Aix
We had a wonderful time with our guide, Lucille. She was so nice, easy to talk to, loved a good laugh and was beyond knowledgable. She obviously knows the vineyards and the teams working on them well, as they all seemed like old friends, which made the tastings relaxed and enjoyable. The selections we tasted were all so different and amazing, a really great variety! Would highly recommend!

      Lovely 1/2 day
This tour is delightful. We visited two little villages in the Luberon, enjoyed beautiful countrysides and learned so much while tasting incredible olive oil. I had tasted olive oil in Portugal and this was so so so much better! The farm and factory we visited makes approx 9 very different types of oil. The tasting process was very very well explained and I decided that olive oil for me should be a condiment. Lucille was our tour leader and made the trip so very very delightful . I highly recommend her and this unique tour.

Great guide, and good even for solo travelers
I had a great time on this tour, even as a solo traveler. The guide was great and we got to sample many different types of wines at two vineyards. Also bought a bottle to enjoy during my holiday. Highly recommend it!

We added the Cassis Village, boat ride and local wine tasting tour to our itinerary at the last minute and I am sure glad we did.
Our tour guide and driver was Jillian from Ophorous tours. Jillian was friendly, a great driver, knowledgeable about all things regarding Cassis, provided great pro-tips as to where to eat and shop and was always available to take those priceless photos. The van was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.
Our tour started with a boat ride to the coves of the national park. Fortunately/smartly Jillian and the boat captain were able to get us out to the park/coves prior to all the other boats full of tourists arrived. The boat was the perfect size for our small group of 10. By arriving at the coves early, we were able to get great photo opportunities and enjoy the stunning beauty of this wonderful national park.
After the hour boat ride, we headed back to the town of Cassis where Cassis was able to walk us around and provide pro-tips as to where to eat and shop. The places where we went, based upon Jillian's recommendations, were outstanding. The time allotted to us in the town of Cassis was sufficient for us to eat, shop, walk around without feeling rushed.
Following our Cassis town visit, we headed up to a high vantage point/cliff overlooking Cassis and the national park. The views from this location were priceless and enabled us to get incredible photos. Even though I suffer from a bit of vertigo, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to this location.
Thereafter, we visited a local winery. The tour of the winery was provided by an employee of the winery and was really good, thorough and enabled us to taste a number of different wines, all which were really good and reasonably priced. We were also allowed to observe the bottling process of the wines. I found the process fascinating and even though I have been to more than my share of wineries I had never had the opportunity to experience this process.
Overall this was a very enjoyable tour and a great way to finish our vacation in Provence.
Thank you Jillian and Ophorous Provence for providing such a good tour.

We were in Aix without a car but I really wanted to go to Cassis and so this guided trip was ideal for us. It turned out to be a real highlight of our holiday, not least because of our excellent host Camille. She was extremely knowledgeable, great fun and also an excellent driver! The whole experience was fantastic - Cassis is beautiful of course and we loved the boat trip to the Calanques, had a really good lunch at a restaurant recommended by Camille and then on to the astounding viewpoint over the town and sea. I'm not a huge wine drinker so I was probably least enthusiastic about the wine tasting leading up to the trip BUT I really enjoyed that too, learned a lot and bought some wine and olive oil! There's a lot packed in to this trip but it never felt rushed and its the host who really makes these things special and we scored with ours. We were also lucky to have a really lovely group to share it with. A really memorable experience!

Our guide, Camille, was fantastic! The day was well planned from start to finish. Camille made everyone in our small group feel welcome and she was eager to get to know everybody during the drive into Cassis. Once there, she introduced the charming sea-side village and efficiently got us onto one of the first boats leaving for the day to see the idyllic coves along the coastline. Our boat captain did not speak English, but Camille translated and offered her own information about Cassis, its fishing industry, and France in general. We were extremely lucky with the weather — sunny and only slightly cool — and Camille said she has never been on the boat with bad weather. We hope that streak continues because this was a highlight of the day! Once back on land, we went into the narrow lanes of the town and sampled some delicious praline and stopped in a perfumery that has been operating in Cassis for over a century. Next, we were sent off on our own for some lunch. Camille suggested two restaurants, both of which had delicious-looking offerings, but the town also boasts smaller cafes and patisseries. When we all came back together, it was time to view Cassis from above. Camille took us to two incredible cliff-top outlooks to explore and take photos. Then we drove to the winery, which Camille explained has been family owned for four generations. The tasting and tour were short and sweet and a perfect end to our trip. We are so grateful to Camille for sharing her knowledge on this part of France and for generally being a kind and funny guide throughout the day.

We had a great day out with Carolina as a guide. Highlight was the boat ride, and of course seeing Cassis. Going to the top of the cliff was great too. Caroline was entertaining, knowledgeable and full of great information and recommendation. This was good value for the 8 hour (half-day trip). the transport was comfortable too.

We were disappointed with the wine tasting… only visiting one vineyard - on booking we were told it would be 2. The vineyard we visited offered 3 quick tastings, and was not that informative. Caroline gave us more information.

Alex was a great guide. We very much enjoyed our time in Cassis and it was fun with a good mix of American, Australian and French people. We learnt a lot from Alex’s knowledge about local culture, historical informations about Provence, Aix, Marseille, Cassis and La Ciotat. We made a few beautyfull pictures of the Calanques, Cassis, Cap Canaille and the wine dégustation was Lovely! Thanks Alex! See U soon hopefully

This is a perfect trip to see a few beautiful places in Provence. Thomas, our guide, was extremely well versed in French history and freely shared his love of Provence.
We were allowed 2 hours in Cassis for site seeing and lunch on our own, a good amount of time.
The boat ride was great, and we not only saw the gorgeous limestone walls of the calanques, but also a few dolphins playing along side the boat.
A trip to the top of Cap Canaille is a must do! It is the highest sea cliff in France towering 1,293 feet above Cassis.
And, our final stop at a 7th generation run winery was delightful! Perfect ending to the day.

It was a great excursion. Our guid Alex was extremely knowledgeable in the history of the area as well as all facets of life in Provence, which made the tour much more fun. The boat tour is a must, an experience you should not miss. We had a lot of free time in Cassis, I toured the area & had a relaxing "Boullabiasse" lunch at one of the restaurants in the harbor area.
The lookout is also a must, & the wine tasting was lovely.

Julien was the absolute best tour guide. He is witty, knowledgeable and knows so much about the entire area. He was professional and courteous and a good driver as well. The day started with a boat trip to view the Calanques in and around Cassis. Lunch on our own and sufficient free time then a trip up a beautiful mountain with a magnificent view, finishing with a wine tasting-it was a fabulous day.
