About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Bethany H0 contributionsWonderful bike tour and brilliant tour guideMy friend and I were a little unsure of using ebikes but we were reassured and had a little practice before setting off. Eric was really knowledgeable about the local history and answered all of our questions. He made sure we stayed together as a group despite me and my friend being at the back. At the end of the tour, we decided to have a break at the cafe where we had delicious homemade snacks and drinks.Written October 28, 2024
- kentj20220 contributionsBest Bike Tour Ever!!We started this trip on 10/5 in Rome with a variety of tours. We also took the high speed train to Naples and did a 3-hour bike tour through the chaotic streets of Naples. We then boarded a Viking cruise on 10/11, which has taken us to Florence, Monaco, and now Marseilles. I say this only to give you some perspective. This was the absolute most amazing city and bike tour!!!! Laurent was our guide, and he was knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating. 1st - Marseilles is beautiful in every way. It was not nearly as frenetic as Rome or Naples, and we learned just enough - Laurent knew the right amount of time to stop (which is a big problem on the cruise line bus and walking tours. I wish we had more time here, and I hope to come back!! 2nd - he took photos of us at every stop. 3rd - he helped me find a Christmas ornament by stopping at a gift shop (I collect one in every city I visit). 4th - he mentioned the delicious pizza in Marseilles so we asked him to take us to get a slice and he took us to a place where we had the best slice of pizza ever, and I grew up outside NYC, so that’s saying a lot. And, the e-bikes were phenomenal. We rode to the very top of Cathedral Marseilles, which is very very high. I’m 66 — The bikes made the trip so easy. This was a wonderful day in Marseilles, and we highly recommend Laurent and Fada Bike for your bike excursion…you won’t be disappointed!!Written October 15, 2024
- 6suzettew0 contributionsGreat way to see Marseille!Ebike made for an enjoyable ride. Our guide was knowledge and gave us plenty of time at each stop. Picked us up promptly at our ship and allowed us free time after the ride before they returned us to the ship port. Highly recommend!Written October 7, 2024
- R806GKsuzannee0 contributionsFantastic tourA fabulous experience. Eric was an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge about the city while ensuring all were doing well. The bikes were easy to ride and made the climb to Notre Dame easy. Thanks so muchWritten October 2, 2024
- star_tortoise0 contributionsExcellent TourI did this 3.5 hour small group e-bike tour to see more quickly (than walking), learn about the city and meet other people. (An e-bike also makes those hills easier!) Erik was knowledgeable about Marseille and took us to places I'd have no idea how to get to by myself. He made sure everyone was safe and comfortable on the bikes too, as we navigated around pedestrians and cars and rode up/down steep hills. Highly recommended!Written August 20, 2024

- brown621040 contributionsThis Is The One!Sofie was the best! She explained so well, took us all over, places we would never find on our own. She took her time, made sure we were hydrated, gave recommendations, and well, made the whole experience just so amazing! This was our favorite!Written August 10, 2024
- bfahs0 contributionsNice overview of the city.Only has one day in Marseille so we figured an e-bike tour would be a good overview of the city. Visited sites, learned a little history but got to see a lot more of the city than we would have on our own. Eassist of the bikes made it not that big a deal to bike. Tourguides English was great. You do want to be comfortable on a bike as some biking was in heavy traffic.Written August 10, 2024

- Tracy W0 contributionsPerfect 2 hour ebike tourA two hour express tour was a great way to see the coast, views and notre dame de la garde. E-bikes were a lot of fun and helped us get up all those steep hills. Luis our guide was excellent.Written June 22, 2024
- denise m0 contributionsGreat way to see the city!Excellent time with Eric! He was very knowledgeable and well versed in the history of the city. He took good care of his group and was especially kind to my 11 year old son who was a little nervous as it was his first time using an electric bike. It can be a bit scary in some areas as there are no dedicated bike lanes but all in all, a must do if you want to visit all of the highlights of the city! Great value for your money if you are in good shape and adventurous!Written June 11, 2024
- Celine_Netherlands0 contributionsCancelled by fada bikes, and no money back! After making the reservation, it was cancelled by Fada Bikes. Two days later, I still didn’t get my money back….. I asked several times, now they say it is because of get your guide takes several days. If so, I should have received at least an email confirming the cancellation. As I made the reservation on the site of fada bikes (and received only mails from them regarding the order and a reminder), this is nonsens. Don’t book a tour! Baja Bikes is the same company by the way. No other options in MarseilleWritten April 29, 2024
- Discover273417190970 contributionsPlease be careful everyone! We signed up for MSC cruise for sightseeing purposes at the ports of call. 9:15 meeting time and the tour description said we would be picked up at the ferry port with our name card. The night before the tour, I was informed that the time would be changed to 9:45. I agreed. At 9:45 AM that morning, no one was there. we waited until 10:00 AM. As I thought, no one showed up. I requested a cancellation and refund of the tour as a NO SHOW. Then I received a call from the tour company saying that they were on their way and I should wait until 10:45. They persistently contacted me asking me not to cancel because they were going now, but I refused. Still no refund. I think the electric bike tour itself is a good one, as the city has many hills. But be careful with this tour plan. I wasted almost 2 hours because of this exchange. Please be careful everyone!Written March 24, 2024
- rileyclayton0 contributionsWhat an unexpected surprise! What an unexpected surprise! We booked a last minute 1/2 day e-bike tour. Our guide was Emanuel. Great attitude, positive energy, knowledgeable, and concerned for our safety and enjoyment. His English was great, our French was poor! Saw multiple sights, learned a ton about Marseille, and the ride was easy and enjoyable, even on the big hill to Notre Dame Basilique. I, 57, Took two of my daughters, 18 and 23. Plenty of great photo opportunities. Worth every penny and would highly recommend. Thanks for the great time.Written December 31, 2023
- PaulU5610 contributionsA recommended way to see the cityThe big advantage of this trip, if you are on a cruise ship like us, is that they meet you at the port and take you the 15 minute drive to their base. Originally we booked and paid for the afternoon trip in English, but they contacted us a couple of days before to check if we could leave at 9.30am instead. In the end this turned out fine, but was a bit of a worry to begin with as we didn't dock until 9am. Emmanuel took us in his van to meet Cindy our guide. She was excellent, friendly, fun and considerate. We were joined by two other couples from the USA and Germany. We got clear instructions on operating the bikes plus helmets and water. The tour lasted 3 hours with about half of that actually cycling (around 17km) on a mixture of roads and cycle paths. Some of it was steep, but the electric bikes provided made it very easy. At the end Emmanuel was held up and couldn't bring us back to the ship immediately, so we just went for a coffee nearby for half an hour and waited. All in all a very enjoyable morning and we would definitely recommend it as a way of seeing the city.Written November 23, 2023

I lucked out the day of my tour and had perfect weather for our bike excursion. Our tour guide, Mary, was knowledgeable, fun and gave us a wonderful scenic tour of Marseille and the Calanques National Park. I also very much enjoyed the restaurant where we had the option to eat lunch (or we could pick up sandwiches to eat on the beach). Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get out or Marseille and enjoy a relaxing day mostly by the water.

The trip was perfect. Perfect weather , perfect place and most importantly the perfect guide Cindy. Would recommend this trip to anyone who is visiting Marseille and would like to see as much of the city as possible in a day. Also to anyone who enjoys a beautiful bike ride along the coastline with a erudite , friendly and very informative guide. Thanks Cindy for making the trip so enjoyable. The swim at the National Park was like the icing of the cake. Had the perfect day.

We did the tour together with four other people, and it couldn't have been more fun. The bikes were comfortable and easy to drive, the pace was perfect, and the electric bikes made the whole route effortless. Our guide had great tips and explained everything very well. The restaurant near the beach was excellent. We highly recommend this tour if you crave some activity and beach time.

To begin with we showed up at the address, and nothing was marked. We had to walk to a hotel to ask if they knew where the address was. We were in the right place. Then the tour guide was late. I called and he said 9:45 (the Trip Advisor post and our ticket said 9:30), no problem. Then another couple showed up and the guide seemed surprised. He checked our booking and realized we were in the all day tour to Calanque. The other couple booked the short 2-3 hour tour (presumably that is all they paid for but ended up doing the entire tour with us and did not pay). We purposely booked an English tour (there were 2 language options). The other couple was French. No problem. We thought he’d do both. Our tour ended up being about 10% English. There was not a lot of information and if we asked questions we were not really informed. There was a lot of talking between the guide and the other couple so it was not a matter of a guide who did not really talk a lot.
The ride was great, we did see a lot of the area of marseille and we were very happy about that. However we rode through areas I could not even tell you about because we were not told. I asked questions and the other rider turned to me and said “do you have any more questions?” When I asked about a certain chateau we passed.
After lunch the guide spent a lot of our tour time on the phone. There was not a lot of attention to safety or making sure we all went through lights together and to be honest it seemed like he just wanted to go home the last half of the tour.
All in all, it was a lovely bike ride. The bikes worked great and were easy to operate. The landscape was gorgeous as was the day. Lunch was great (we all shared our pizzas) and we got to see so much. Sadly it was not a very informative tour and we did feel he was not that interested in teaching us much. Oh and he admitted that if the other couple had not booked the night before, he would have forgotten about us!!!! It was bad enough he had no idea what tour we were on.

Hello,
what a surprise to read your feedback as i did my best to give you more than expected.
Yes, at the end on the season, we can make some little mistakes like forgetting people but with no real issue as we can always make the tour after all.
I do not agree that tour was only 10% english, It is clearly noticed on our descriptions that tours can be bilingual.
Tour was 50% french and 50% English, and you were only 4 people.
I did an effort at the moment you asked for a 100% english tour as I DID.
The other people liked the start of the tour so much that they finally decided to continue the whole day with us.
I don't understand your suspicion that they didn't pay for it, of course they paid. I admit that I was disappointed with your reaction because you didn't realize that I had a lot given so that you are satisfied,
"c'est la vie", people say when they leave that they liked the tour, and in the end, they curry you on the internet.

I've thought about this review for a long time since our tour was back in February. Having been on multiple tours of this nature I feel comfortable giving a review of my experience. The tour itself was nothing special and actually a bit discombobulated. In the beginning, there was a lot of confusion and uncertainty as to what was going to happen due to two different tours taking place at the same time. After that was straightened out and we got underway. The tour guide was able and provided an adequate effort in providing information while also keeping us engaged. I did however feel he could have been more engaging and informative.
On a separate note, we had a misunderstanding that resulted in us having to take a taxi to the meeting place that cost us 20 euros from the cruise ship. After getting there we spoke with the owner Helene who assured us that they would reimburse us that cost due to the mix-up. Long story short, that didn't happen and we only received a partial refund.

Hi, thanks for your review.
Our driver was on time and on the right place to pick you up from cruise terminal but you made the mistake to take a taxi and go directly in the city center meeting point.
When you talked to Helen, she told you would get a refund that we kindly did.
We refunded you the amount you payed for the both pick up and drop off (€14), and we explain you we could not pay the taxi bill (€20) because i was not our mistake.
At the end, we also kindly drop you back to the ship for free.
We exchanged so many emails and you never admit your responsability and now still complain 8 month after for €6.

The e-bike trip was a great experience! You get a real feel for the city and the coast as you bike through the city, visit a small fishing village, bike up to Notre Dame de la Garde, and then out to the Isle de Marie for lunch, rock jumping & swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean. Our guide (Ava) and the shop owners were kind and gracious hosts. As long as you are comfortable biking on streets w/ traffic, I highly recommend this tour when in Marseilles!

Informative, visually stunning, active e-bike ride throughout the city of Marseille, then south to the Calanques for a chilly early September dip in The Med off some rocks. Quite neat topography, and being able to sightsee via bike versus car or bus really gets you eye- level with the local architecture, streets, shops, venues to take it all in. Although it didn't feel rushed, we covered so much ground. Our tour guide Stefen was superb and did just the right amount of stops and verbal descriptions of various sites along the way. 7 hours seemed to be the right amount of time to do it all. An excellent way to kick start your time here in this culturally diverse port-city of Marseille!

After easily finding the start of the tour and a quick lesson, we were off on our tour. Our tour guide, Marine, was friendly, knowledgeable, and set the perfect pace for our tour. She spoke English very well with a beautiful French accent! There were some interruptions to her normal route, but she handled them with ease, leading us through charming neighborhoods and narrow streets, safely We saw more of Marseille up close than we would have otherwise. Well worth the price and time.

Our bike leader, Cindi, was fabulous in every way--articulate, kind, generous and very attuned to her clients. And of course, safety was always on her mind. She was informed and helpful also. Was it her background training in engineering (brains), personality (positive DNA), or extensive experience in the healing arts? Who knows? But it enhanced the unbelievable beauty of the Calanques National Park, seaside awesomeness and fabulous fun.

Would this be doable for people in their early 60's? Do the e-bikes have strong power to get uphill and is there a lot of biking up hill?
Written February 27, 2023
Yes, there is a bunch of biking up hill, and there is a bit of a learning curve to getting the bike to push you up the hill (use the highest power and don't let yourself slow down). I am 60 and my companions are in their early 70,s and we had a fantastic time.

Yes, French and English on all tours, Spanish and some others I forget by prior arrangement. My guide Cindy was Columbian, she speaks Spanish, English, and French. My group had two Scots and six Americans, all of whom spoke English as a first language.

Traveling on Royal Caribbean also. Didn't see the answer to the previous question. is there enough time to do this tour port at 9am and leave at 6pm. and how do we get to starting point? can't finds the website.

Here is the website of electric bike tour in Marseille: ebiketours (add fr extension).
When I booked it, the organization was quite flexible, so I think they will accept "made to measure" tours, taking your agenda (arrival / departure hours) into account.
Starting point was in front of a bar on Marseille Harbour (close to the garage where they leave the e-bikes), at 9H30, and then we came back around 16H30 (but this was our choice to come back earlier because we had 2 kids, and we thought it was enough for them).
