What to Expect
Make your way to central Munich to meet your guide and group. Traveling aboard an air-conditioned coach, set out through the Bavarian countryside to Linderhof Castle. Enjoy around an hour to admire the magnificent French Rococo style façade. If you wish, join a guided tour (optional) and discover the opulent interiors. Continue to Oberammergau, a medieval village on Bavaria’s Romantic Road. Take photos of the village’s murals, half-timbered buildings, and colorful houses, or browse the souvenir shops for handicrafts. Finally, visit Neuschwanstein Castle, stopping to enjoy views of the neo-Romanesque style castle, which inspired Disney Sleeping Beauty. You will be dropped at Hohenschwangau village at the bottom of Neuschwanstein mountain. Spend up to four hours of free time to join a guided castle tour (optional), walk to viewpoints, or have lunch. Castle entrance fees are not included in the tour price. Your tour ends at your Munich departure point.

Did the day trip to check out this Disney fantasy castle. Hot tip: don’t pay the money to go inside, instead head around to the bridge for an incredible view (and awesome photo op that you otherwise won’t get)!

The castle is gorgeous - the tour is irritating. You pay a lot of money for 60 people and 30 minutes. You don’t get a lot of time to explore or just sit and stare at the magnificent rooms. It’s unfortunate they seem to be...More

Pretty much the entire day. Neuschwanstein castle is the longest part, with a major hike to get to it. Very enjoyable and worth it.

Our bus wasn’t full but up to around 35. The castle tours are block booked at set times (not just for the tour) so the size of the group doesn’t really have much impact.
