Overview

With so much great food in Berlin, it can be difficult to choose the best places to eat. This food walking tour is the perfect way to cut out research time. You’ll try German staples like ‘currywurst,’ as well as more exotic cuisine. It’s a great way to save time as you’ll learn about Berlin’s history, and see famous landmarks as you taste the way around the city.

What to Expect

This culinary adventure begins by meeting your guide and heading to Berlin’s Raw Market. You’ll learn about the history of the area and then stop off at Berlin’s best kebab shop. Discover why Berlin is home to so many artists, as you witness the intricate street art and walk past East Berlin’s popular art galleries and Soviet-era areas.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth—you’re in for a treat, as the next tasting is ‘Flammenkuchen’ (a creamy German cake). One cake is never enough, so you’ll stop by another boutique bakery to try more sweet treats. Next, you’ll try a German favorite—Currywurst, before learning about Berlin’s Turkish community and sampling a Turkish sweet. Throughout the trip, your guide will tell you important historical information.

The day ends at the East Side Gallery, where you’ll see a remaining section of the Berlin Wall and try one last food sample.

Very good food tour

A very good food tour. The guide was great and knew a lot about Berlin. The walk was exciting and quite different from what have seen in Berlin.

Interesting tour

Delicious food, great tour guide and a tour around the coolest neighborhood in Berlin. Highly recommended for people interested in alternative culture and likeminded people.

Great guide and great food! Thanks Alex!

Alex was a fantastic guide. He took my wife and I around to have schwarma, flammakan(?), roasted nuts, currywurst, and schnitzel in some local places that would otherwise seem pretty inconspicuous. The food was great and more than anything, Alex made the whole thing feel...More

Great exposure to food and'East Berlin'

We really enjoyed all the history we learned as well as the food we tasted during our 3 hour tour. We enjoyed the shawarma, Schütze, bier, nuts, cheesecake and local soda. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and his English was great.
