Overview

With so much great food in East Berlin, it can be difficult to choose the best places to eat. This walking tour lets you try a variety of dishes, without the need for extensive research. Try staples like currywurst, flammenkuchen, and Turkish sweets. You’ll learn about Berlin’s history and see famous landmarks along the way, and because it's a small-group tour, you can ask plenty of questions.

What to Expect
Begin your culinary adventure by meeting your guide and heading to the RAW's market. You’ll learn about the history of the area and then stop at one of its kebab shops. Discover why the city is home to so many artists as you pass intricate street art and East Berlin’s popular galleries.

You’ll taste flammenkuchen, a pizzalike tart; stop at a boutique bakery for some treats; and sample currywurst, a German favorite. Then enjoy a Turkish sweet while learning about Berlin’s Turkish community. Throughout the trip, listen to important historical commentary from your guide.

Your day ends at the East Side Gallery, where you’ll see a remaining section of the Berlin Wall and try one last food sample.

Delicious donner-kabobs

Our tour guide, Margo, brought us through some great places in East Berlin - not just the food stops (which were delicious) but the history and changes that Berlin has experienced over the years. Highly recommended.More

Really a world food tour!

Alex Schmidt was our charming guide through the ethnically diverse Berlin food scene. We had Iraqi shawarma, Turkish nuts, Flammkuchen ( German take on tarte flambé), very good cheesecake, a pork schnitzel (to die for), and what trip to Berlin would be complete without currywurst....More

No idea, I would imagine that you can then opt for a soft drink. Email the organisers and ask them
