Tour is in Spanish
Jul. 2021
The tour was in Spanish, even though the site tripadvisor said it was in English. I was not able to follow the tour and I did pay money for it. Do not go on this tour if you do not speak Spanish. I left the tour after a while because it didn't have any purpose for me.

Maria is my absolute favourite person in Malaga! Really enjoyable day with her learning about the towns history. She was a fountain of information, humoured me with English as my Spanish is still very poor. Highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting.

Great tour!

This tour was wonderful. Tanya, our guide, was very knowledgeable on the history of the castle and an engaging guide. The castle had beautiful gardens and a lovely view of the city below.
We considered going on our own but I recommend going with the tour to skip long entrance queues and gain much more historical insight.

Learned a lot that I would not have from a brochure - very informative. I would have liked to spend more time in the Roman amphitheatre. All in all, very enjoyable!

A very enjoyable 90 minute tour of the Alcazabar
Jan. 2020
During a recent short break in Fuengirola, we went on a very enjoyable 90 minute guided walking tour of Malaga's Alcazabar and Roman amphitheatre. We'd booked on-line beforehand with Get Your Guide, and the cost - £13 each - proved to be pretty good value for money. The guide was a well informed young lady called 'Kandi' who backed up her verbal comments with a supply of useful local photographs and illustrations. The talk was given in English though, on this occasion, we were the only British people on the tour. - The other members of the group were Danish, Swiss and French. We learned some interesting material about Roman Malaga, and the universal popularity of a rather pungent fish sauce called garum, which was a staple product of the town during its Roman days. The Moorish Alcazabar (which served a dual purpose as both a palace and a fortress) was a lovely place to visit, and dates back to the 11th century. Its Islamic arches and other architectural features are visually quite spectacular, and bear some similarities to the grander, more famous Granada Alhambra. Take some comfortable walking shoes, if you go on the tour, and take your time looking at all the various features of the Alcazabar. The views of Malaga from the top of the palace/fortress are also something to behold. In addition, the weather during our visit was terrific, and a great contrast to the hail storms experienced in the city a few days before our arrival. Visiting the Alcazabar should be a must for all visitors to Malaga!

a very good short tour, the site visited is close to to meeting point, but a map may prove useful as the meeting place is not easy to find, however the young tour guide was very knowlegable and spoke english without an accent. the site visited was very good with plenty to see, when the guided tour ended we were able to carry on exploring the site
