Everyone wants to see dolphins and whales in their natural environment, but finding the best spots to observe these wild creatures can be difficult. On a sailing tour that values conservation, benefit from your guide’s expertise to locate these animals, and admire them in all their natural glory, while gaining insight into the Atlantic’s native wildlife and the work done to protect it.
What to Expect

Depart at a time that suits your schedule, either in the morning or afternoon. Meet at the Valle Gran Rey harbor, ensuring you arrive 10 minutes before departure time, and then meet your captain, guide, and small group. Board your traditional fishing vessel and sail out to known spots teeming with marine life.

This tour works closely with programs aiming to protect cetaceans, by establishing ocean reserves and using sailing techniques to ensure the wild animal’s comfort when being observed. Listen as your guides share their knowledge and highlight the importance of conservation and respectful whale watching.

Each tour is different, based on the creature’s natural behavior in their habitats. Enjoy the sun and sea, as you explore the ocean in an authentic Canarian fishing boat, before returning to your original departure point with new insight into these remarkable creatures and the work done to protect them.

Great trip - would recommend

We had a great trip with very helpful host. This is a small boat with dubious toilet facilities (bucket in a cupboard) so not for the squeamish! We saw a large pod of Sperm whales and a pilot whale and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

respectful whale and dolphin watching

Always a pleasure to go out with the small boats from oceano. That's the way whale and dolphin watching should be done. Small groups, the captain has a great knowledge and the dolphins are carefully approached and they stay in a distance. If the dolphins...More

A very special experience

A very friendly way of watching whales and dolphins in there natural habitat. You get close to the abimals if they let you and there is no hassle or chasing just to see them. A great trip off the coast

It was for me the first time on such a small boat and my first trip to watch dolphins and whales - and I could not have been in better hands. Nicole and Carmen took great care of us, shared a lot of details that...More
