We hadn't planned to do the HOHO bus but as we were on the train to Toledo from Madrid the free (suggested donation) walking tour group we had booked with texted to say it had been cancelled as there weren't enough people signed up to make it worthwhile. We were left a bit high and dry, hadn't done any advance research and so signed up for the HOHO bus with 1 hour walking tour (€35 p.p.) with the representative on the Toledo railway platform. The English speaking walking tour was led by Alejandro was very good. He was engaging and clearly passionate about his home town and its history. We were fortunate there were only 5 of us so it was easy to hear him and keep together with the group. The bus part of the tour is quite short and to be honest I thought it was a bit overpriced but it suited us on the day so no complaints. When we'd had enough we got back on the bus and were transported back to the train station (which itself is quite charming)

I have always been reluctant to visit cities on a tourist bus, but I have to admit that this one from Toledo has been very worthwhile. On the one hand, by the orography of the city it is very useful to be able to surround it and have the best views of the city during the day and especially at sunset or night, since the ticket is 24 h. On the other hand, the treatment of the 2 drivers was excellent. Welingthon offered to take some beautiful pictures in one of the viewpoints with our children

Fun to sit up on top and experience the expert driving skills! It gave us a good overview of the exterior of the old city’s walls, gates, and bridges. We only had a day and knew we could not cover everything. We purchased the ticket with the cathedral entrance and enjoyed the tour. The guide was informative, and we appreciated the English narrative.
Minuses—some of the narrative plug-ins were not operational or functioned poorly. People left unwanted maps, headphones, water bottles, food wrappers all over the bus.

The bus was waiting outside of the train station when my train arrived and since I wasn’t sure how far the walk into town was, I decided to pay what seemed like a very high price (35 euro - I’ve done huge cities throughout the world for much less). The bus only has 10 stops and the only one that I probably wouldn’t have made it to walking on my own, was the view point overlooking the city. They also offer a short a walking tour in the city center. Our guide, Alejandro, was very friendly and knowledgeable but the groups were really big. I walked back to the train station at the end of the day and realized how quick and easy it was. Bottom line, while i typically think the Hop On/Off is a great way to explore a city, you definitely don’t need it for Toledo and given its high price point, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We have often taken hop-on buses and were always very satisfied. This time the impression was rather poor, the price-performance ratio was a bit off. The tour costs €25/person all day, you save yourself the walk from the train station to the city and vice versa and you get the great viewpoint of the city on the tour, which would otherwise be a really long walk. The other stops are negligible in my opinion. A tour of the cathedral is optional, costs €10/person more, but admission to the cathedral costs €10 anyway. So it was good to get some basic information. Conclusion - HopOn-HopOff tour in Toledo is OK but nothing more.

Overpriced 35€ per person, the person at the arrival of the train from Madrid is there to fill up without explanation...the circuit is of no interest. Not all stops are announced and even skipped. We found ourselves at the station two hours early and without being able to change our train ticket. Because complete! Avoid proven tourist scam

Bus was at Toledo train station when I arrived so thought it ideal to join it there. Ticket seller was very aggressive. In spite of queue of people waiting to board she would insist on going through her sales blurb trying to sell the 35 euro ticket instead of 25 euro one. All the other people waiting could hear the blurb but it made no difference, seller went through procedure for each person from the beginning. Told me I would regret not having 35 euro ticket (I didn’t). Bus left with people still waiting, so they walked into town. Lost business! How good is that! Not worth 25 euros; route quite short. Seller in town at one of the stops just as rude, not helpful and only interested in looking at credit card machine. Not a good experience. Suggest getting land train in town - much cheaper.

Also, they sold us the tickets that included entrance to the Cathedral (30 euros per person), but fail to mention that we HAD to go at the time they gave us and we could only go in with one of their guides. We had other plans, and since we didn´t have that information, in the end we were denied entry to the Cathedral even when the ticket included it.

We took the train From Madrid to Toledo (30 minutes). From the Toledo train station we took the City Sightseeing Toledo: Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour. It cost €29 which included the entrance fee and a guided tour to the Cathedral and the bus also drops you back at the train station. Everything was so easy and enjoyable and we immediately got to enjoy the sights and the awesome views. The Cathedral was absolutely beautiful and our guide had such a good sense of humour and made it all so interesting. A very rewarding day trip - instant gratification 😍

The visit was excellent. The bus tour was simple, interesting and the view, wonderful. Then, during the walking tour with Ana, I could easily understand the whole history of Toledo thanks to her clear explanations and the “mnemonics” she used to help us remember the important data. Also, it is very nice and fun. He also offered us tips and recommendations to explore the city on our own after the tour, always showing his willingness to help us. I recommend!

El billete del bus tiene varias opciones y precios, yo concretamente cogí el que incluía la entrada al Alcazar.
Lo de la magia es como un pase en el que cuentan el aspecto mágico de Toledo, y eso sí que es a una hora específica (cuando estuve yo, era a las 23 horas, creo)

Yo escoji la visita guiada de la catedral y fue lo mejor que pude hacer. Sarah Maria es una de la guias y ella es muy buena. Si fue a una hora expecifica y ellos te pueden dar recomendacion de a que hora debes estar en la plaza para seguir junto al guia. Asi aseguras tomar el bus y coordinar tu llegada a tiempo.
