The car ride was very safe, and Rod took care of us as a group well. He managed to find a nice lunch place for us. We had a great talk, and Rod also knows lots of interesting facts that were actually interesting for us. - 495dariak0 contributionsInsightful and Delightful Winery TourWe had an amazing experience visiting three wineries where we got to taste a variety of wines and some delicious olive oil. Our tour guide Rod made the trip even better with his engaging and talkative nature. He shared a lot of interesting insights about the wine-making process and the local culture. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, and we learned so much along the way. It was a fantastic way to spend the day and a perfect experience for wine lovers. - michellefI4819SL0 contributionsWorth writing home about! This is a fantastic tour that was incredibly well organized and the time management was beyond exquisite. Tour time was 10 hrs compared to the 12 that was listed but this was adequate. I wish for more time in the mountains but we are at the mercy of the train timings. It was truly great excursion to be met at the beautiful meetup spot, walked to a very clean van, then headed to Vic. Along the way we learned history and listened to great music. As we were driven, I felt very safe. I enjoyed the tiny mountain town and was overjoyed to take the train into the Pyrenees mountains where I got to enjoy my food I purchased on tips from the guide. I got every dollar worth on this trip. Hint: look up potential hikes to do at the Valle de Nuria for maximal time management. I highly recommend Pic de l'Àliga. Not recommended for those who have 0 interest in seeing churches, 100% recommended for those who want to escape the city and see some marvellous views worth writing home about. Thank you!Written February 6, 2025

Travel is often described as the only thing you can buy that makes you richer, and our recent tour proved this adage to be undeniably true. We embarked on a journey that not only enriched our minds but also left us with memories that will last a lifetime. As we reflect on our adventure, we can confidently say that it was well worth our time and money, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an extraordinary experience.
The tour was meticulously planned, with each detail thoughtfully considered to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Our guide, Pablo, played a pivotal role in making the tour exceptional. His enthusiasm was infectious, and his passion for the places we visited shone through in every word he spoke.
Pablo's attentiveness and helpfulness were evident from the start. He took the time to get to know each member of the tour group, ensuring that everyone felt included and valued. Whether it was answering questions, providing historical context, or offering recommendations for local cuisine, Pablo was always available and eager to assist. His knowledge of the destinations we visited was extensive.
This tour of three countries in one day is certainly a great way to learn history, culture and visit the main attractions in such a short period of time😍

Alex was a tremendous tour guide. We went during a very busy highway season of Three Kings day, and he was always keeping us on time and mindful so that we wouldn’t get stuck in traffic - but also a master at not making anyone feel rushed! We had plenty of time in all three places. Andorra is a beautiful country and it is worth the trip (especially with a tour since it isn’t easy to get to via rail or plane). Leaving early in the AM is great because you have the city of Baga to yourself quietly to explore and grab breakfast. The bathroom stops were well timed and we were back in Barcelona at 7pm! Alex also gave us a great food recommendation of La Foga - after your tour. It didn’t disappoint! Walking distance from drop off. Bottom line - eat all the food, buy the cheese and wine, and ask for Alex!

We left out of Barcelona very early in the morning, catching the your bus at 715am. We had about 20 - 25 people in the big bus and headed north.
Marta, our guide, was full of incredible information, and she combined that with humor, timing, and personal experiences to create insights for her varied charges.
Although this was an English tour, many on the bus had few English skills, but Marta adjusted her delivery and was able to easily accommodate everyone.
The tour itself takes you north to a small town named Baga, where we experienced local living, food, and coffee for breakfast. Food is not included, but Marta wanted us to try one of her favorite breakfast foods or of her own pocket.
As we continued north, we entered France, which was fascinating. Marta explained the cultural differences in language, history, and even foods.
We turned south to Andorra, a lovely and tiny country snuggled into the mountains. The roads climbed mountains with hairpin turns up and up further.
Andorra is pretty commercial and mostly new. If your looking for old architecture or castles, this isn't the place. However, the shopping variety was amazing.
We then returned on the long trek to Barcelona.
Marta, and George the driver, made sure to take great care of us with genuine care and concern. There were enough rest room stops and they also stopped briefly for photo opportunities. The trip is long but Marta made it entertaining.

We had an unforgettable experience on Andorra, France, and Spain: The Original Three Countries Tour, all thanks to our amazing guide, Pablo Gavilán!
Pablo was absolutely incredible—funny, engaging, and full of fascinating knowledge about each destination. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the group felt included and had a truly memorable time. His passion for what he does shines through, and it made the entire tour so much more enjoyable.
We can’t recommend this tour company enough, and if you have the chance to take a tour with Pablo, don’t hesitate—you’re in for a treat! Thank you for an amazing day, Pablo! 🌟

We spent 275 Euros to drive all the way to the French city for the guide to say it was snowing and we could not enter the city. There was no fore warning that if it was snowing we would not be able to enter the city. When booking the agency actually said “great choice of day it will be snowing and will add so much charm to the French city when you visit there..it will be a highlight!” We ended taking pictures in front of a bathroom before we crossed back over into Spain. No alternate cities were offered to visit so basically we were on the bus for hours until we arrived to Andorra where we saw one street. Total scam and extremely boring…unless you like staying on a cramped bus for five hours straight this is the tour for you! Do not recommend. WASTE of MONEY!

Hello,
I am really sorry about your day. However, I don't think it's very fair or accurate.
The amount of snow took us by surprise, and so we could not drive all the way to the original planned town in France. Instead, we went to a closer town just across the border. I'm not sure why you took a picture outside of some public toilets. There are plenty of pretty place in the town, and a variety of local cafes.
You also forgot to mention the first stop in the charming medieval village of Baga.
It's a great pity that you didn't mention your disappointment on the day, so we could have found a solution or partially refunded you.
I am so sorry about the day, but we honestly did not try to trick you.
Regards,
Robert

I had high hopes for this tour. It started with a meeting place that was extremely difficult to find (especially at 6:45am in the dark). There is no obvious signage or flag or sign board. I’m a savvy traveler and was using google maps and walked by it twice in feb pitch dark.
Due to snow in the mountains, the itinerary needed to be changed. The company bought us all coffee and pastry at the alternate stop which was nice.
But the stops themselves? Not worth the hours and hours in the bus. The small towns had zero to recommend them - no shops, no history, nothing picturesque.
And Andorra? I had in my mind a shopping Mecca. What a huge disappointment. I have more variety and quality at my local outlet mall.
The tour bus? So small and crowded. I felt like we were packed in like sardines. The heat was faulty and it was like we were in a sauna. Many people were complaining and all that could be done was to crank the A/C to overpower the heat
Net-net: longest 12 hours I’ve spent on a long time. We all were joking that it was the tour from hell.
Save your $150 unless you want to spend the longest 12 hours of your life crammed in a bus with about only 4 of them for some mediocre scenery and shopping.
Do the Girona /Costa Brava tour instead.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand that you had high hopes for this tour and appreciate you letting us know your experience didn't quite meet them.
We apologize that the meeting place was difficult to locate and thank you for noting that we provided coffee and a pastry when our itinerary was altered due to weather.
We've noted your feedback about the stops being underwhelming and Andorra not living up to its expectations, as we strive to make every tour enjoyable for our customers.
With any tour of this type, there will be some driving involved in order to see three countries in one day - however, we understand it can be quite uncomfortable when it's in a crowded bus with faulty heat so again, we apologize for this inconvenience.
We hope you consider giving one of our other tours a try; we'd love the chance to show off all Catalonia has to offer!
We hope to see you again,
Robert

The tour to Andorra was a mixed experience, but Pablo, our tour guide, made it truly unforgettable! While the drive itself was very long, and Andorra didn’t offer much beyond shopping, Pablo’s energy and enthusiasm kept the entire group engaged and entertained throughout the journey.
The stops at the medieval towns in Spain and France were absolutely delightful. Pablo brought these historic locations to life by sharing fascinating stories and history while keeping us engaged with interactive questions. He made sure everyone felt involved and connected, adding a personal touch to the tour.
The drive to Andorra, though lengthy, was incredibly scenic, with breathtaking views along the way. Our driver was excellent—safe, cautious, and ensured we reached each destination comfortably and without any stress.
Pablo’s efforts went above and beyond. He not only kept us entertained throughout the long drive but also took group photos and created a stunning collage that beautifully detailed our entire journey. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful keepsake from the trip. Even if the long drive isn’t for you, the experience with Pablo—and his artistic collage—makes it completely worthwhile!

This three-country tour failed to meet our expectations in several ways. Firstly, the tour name is somewhat misleading, as it primarily consisted of visits to two countries. A small city in France just outside the border of Spain and a small city in Andorra. Technically it should be advertised as 2 additional countries tour and not 3 because you are already in Spain. First stop is a small city in Spain.
Additionally, the tour operator (Explore Catalunya) late office opening and the overbooking of our group made for a stressful and rushed experience. There was a max 20pax on the tour per their advertisement, but we had 25 people in our mini-bus and another 8 on a minivan. Our stops at Baga and Ax-Les-Thermes were pleasant, but the limited restroom facilities at Baga and lack of time to explore both cities were disappointing. The advertised 'natural fountains’ at Ax-Les-Thermes turned out to be little more than a quick dip in 1 long fountain (there were no other hotsprings showed to us). The scenic views were lacking unless you want to go on a steep hike causing you to skip lunch due to lack of time. There is a ski lift but the guide will tell you to not take it, again due to insufficient time. Our final stop in Andorra was also underwhelming, with the tour guide refusing to allow us to exit the bus and take photos at the border crossing. The other 8 people on the minivan were allowed to get off their van and take pictures with good time. Then they will drop you off in a town with stores you would normally see in your local shopping malls. Overall, we would not recommend this tour. Instead explore other tour options before selecting this one.

Our tour guide, Gloria, and our bus driver were very knowledgeable and took great care of us on the trip. However, it was just a lot more time on a bus than my partner or I really thought about. We read reviews and details about the trip but they didnt really mention that you would be spending the majority of your time on a bus.
The little towns in Spain and France were beautiful along with the drive being beautiful, but by the time we got to Andorra I personally was very bus sick (and I'm someone who doesn't ever get motion sickness) from the extremely curving roads and we both honestly found Andorra underwhelming.
Overall, we found some moments of joy on the trip we would just really recommend thinking through if 2 hours of visiting towns if worth the 12 hours you spend on a bus.

This was my first time in Europe and I was quite hesitant about using a paid tour guide service. However, Gloria was the sweetest and most informative guide I could have asked for. She kept me laughing and gave so much great information the entire time, on top of just being adorable. She took the time to walk us through every little town that we stopped in to give us pieces of history while interjecting little funny comments on each one. The entrance into Andora is absolutely breathtaking and not an experience you should pass on. I would highly recommend this company and would highly recommend Gloria. Be one of Gloria’s people! Gracias, Gloria!

Do you need a multiple entry Schengen visa as you are visiting three countries or is single entry sufficient?
Written December 18, 2022
Not sure but I believe that visa will go into effect in 2024. At a minimum you are required to bring a passport. I do know that we had to show our passports in Andorra’s but not in France due to Andorra not being in the EU and not having mutual recognition. Hope this helps.
