Montserrat Tour from Barcelona Including Lunch and Wine Tasting in Oller del Mas

Add a culinary element to your tour of Montserrat on this day trip from Barcelona. Unlike other tours, this experience includes a Catalan lunch and a wine-and-cheese tasting session at Oller del Mas, a 10th-century castle set in a 1,000-acre (404-hectare) estate. Enjoy a combination of tours and free time at the monastery and basilica of Montserrat before exploring the cellars of the vineyard. Plus, receive personalized attention in a small-group setting.

What to Expect

Board an air-conditioned coach at a central Barcelona location, and begin the journey to Montserrat. During the ride, your guide provides an overview of the area’s religious significance.

On arrival, take a guided tour of the basilica and monastery before enjoying free time to explore independently. Opt to visit the museum, or explore the Holy Cave before you reconvene with your guide. At the end of the visit, get the chance to attend a performance by l’Escolania de Montserrat, one of the oldest boys’ choirs in Europe.

The next stop is the Oller del Mas estate winery, housed in a castle that dates back to the 10th century. Following a multi-course lunch inspired by Catalan classics, tour the cellars and vineyards before tasting local wine and cheese during a tasting session.

Your tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.

Great tour and Borja was an excellent guide!

A fabulous tour of Monserrat with great explanations of the history of the monastery, and then a wonderful tapas lunch with an excellent wine tasting! We loved it, and would highly recommend it - they also made accommodations for our 13-year old daughter.

No. It’s only an hour to and from. And about 30mins travelling to the winery. So put a knot in it ;-)

Denise is correct. The Hard Rock Cafe is right at the Plaza de Catalunya. Lunch was at the restaurant at the winery. The lunch was a fixed menu and tasty and well worth it if you want a full day out.
