Overview

La Sagrada Familia is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed cathedral designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. It is now one of Barcelona’s most popular attractions, with a line of visitors to match. Beat the crowds on this exclusive tour, which includes access to the cathedral before it opens to the public for a more intimate experience.  Plus, you'll avoid lines often in excess of two hours with a skip-the-line ticket.

What to Expect

Your morning begins right at La Sagrada Familia, where you’ll take a moment to admire the building’s dizzying, playful exterior. Skip the long lines already gathered outside and head inside, where you’ll have exclusive access to the cathedral before it has even opened to the public.

Walk down the cathedral’s five aisles that are shaped like a Latin cross and admire the Catalan masterwork from the inside. You can check out the bright stained glass windows and soaring ceilings at your leisure while your guide gives you background on Gaudí’s fascinating architectural inspiration. You’ll hear why construction on the cathedral was begun in 1882 but halted in 1926— and why it remains unfinished. But there’s no rush: you’ll also have time to explore on your own.

With an optional upgrade, you can have exclusive access to the Tower on the Passion facade, where after a short climb you’ll be treated with a spectacular panorama of the city.

Very good tour

It was great advice to book ahead and to pay extra to take the elevator to the tower. Our guide was a little hard to understand, partly because her voice is a higher pitch, so it was harder to hear and understand it. But it...More

Wonderful location, very average tour

An amazing location but don’t waste your time on the tour. Just book and use the audio guide which appeared to provide far more than the tour guide so you can go at your own pace and see all parts. The tour was late starting,...More

In theory, yes. However, when I went it was a little chilly so I was in trousers and a hoody. My husband was in shorts and a t shirt but also had a hoodie on.

Arriving at 8:30 is fine, however as I stated in my review, that does not mean that you will gain early entry (as advertised by Amigo Tours). We arrived at 8:30 but did not enter until 9:10.... even after the general public... More

It's a continous spiral stair that has 400 steps. I included a photo so you can see what it looks like. There are no landing steps in between, just circular steps all the way down. If someone needs to rest then everyone has... More
