Overview
Discover Barcelona’s enchanting Gothic Quarter in a 2-in-1 food and history tour that combines delicious tastes at 3 tapas bars with an exploration of many of the city's most emblematic squares and sites. Kick off your evening at a local, family-run bodega for a light aperitif before heading to a walking tour of the oldest and most historic area of Barcelona. Finish your evening at 2 distinct tapas bars - a rustic tavern and a modern tapas bar - and feast on local delicacies like fresh-from-the-sea fish lightly fried in olive oil while devouring Catalan wine. All food and drinks included.
Highlights
  • Get an inside glimpse into Barcelona's culinary scene on a food tour
  • Combines food tastings with historical info
  • A great introduction to the Gothic Quarter for first-time visitors
  • A small group of ten ensures personalized attention from the guide
What to Expect
Your tour begins at a central Barcelona meeting point, where you’ll greet your guide and set off for your first culinary location. At your first restaurant, sample a selection of charcuterie that includes smoked sausage and cured cheeses accompanied by fortified wine.
Stroll to the next restaurant via Roman ruins and buildings associated with Christopher Columbus and listen to commentary that reveals the culture and history of Catalonia’s capital city. After feasting on seasonal dishes that could include braised beef cheeks and fresh fish, you’ll satisfy your sweet tooth with Spain’s version of French toast and ice cream.
The tour concludes in the heart of Barcelona.

Yes, all stops had adequate table service but we were there during height of tourist season so it is crowded and it was warm. Dress according to the season. Shorts were fine in the evening when it was 100 degrees.

You should check the Devour Barcelona website. That would have the most up to date information. Or when you book it, it will be right on the confirmation email.
