    What to Expect
A fun day tour to meet new friends and backpackers aged between 18 and 39 to discover Naples and Pompeii with local guides. Hop aboard your train in Rome in the morning, then head to the historic city of Pompeii. Along the way, listen as your guide sheds light on the horrific eruption that ended life there in the city in 79 AD.

On arrival in Pompeii, enjoy two hours to explore the site at your leisure. Use your map to explore at your own pace and take in key landmarks such as the Forum, the temples and markets for which the site is famous. Entry tickets to the site and maps will be provided. You will be able to hire some audioguides or organise a guided tour with a licensed tour guide with us. In Pompeii you will also be able to join your tour leader for lunch and eat the famous Italian pizza.

Travel onward to Naples — widely considered among Italy’s prettiest coastal cities. Follow your guide through the historic streets and squares before leaving you for some free time to wander around and soak up the atmosphere or visiting some of the famous museums at your own time. We will walk through the the old city centre passing by Spaccanapoli street, San Gregorio market and Piazza del Gesù. If there is still time we will continue towards Piazza Plebiscito, San Carlo's Theatre, Umberto I the gallery, Maschio Angioino and lots more. There is a lot of walking involved so be ready to sweat your pizza off.

As you explore, gain insight into Naples’ rich history and colorful culture, and perhaps give yourself a sweet treat with the famous Rhum Babà. When your time in seaside Naples is at an end, return in comfort to Rome to conclude your tour.

Our tour guide Eduardo was great. We thoroughly enjoyed Pompeii and the local guide Guido. I was disappointed that we had to pay an extra $30 Euro for the local guide after spending so much on the tour itself. The train to Pompeii was fantastic. The downside was the trip to

Good morning Jen, that's a pity you did not enjoy the city of Naples which is the third largest city in Italy full of history, culture, tradition and great food. Certainly Pompeii and Naples are two completely different sites; the first one is in fact an archeological site containing the ruins of the Roman empire while the second one is an actual city with all the problems a big city could have. It is hard to judge the real heart of the city in only 4 hours but I invite you to stay a few days there to revaluate this city which is full of character and needs to be understood and lived. The royal palaces, the churches, the fountains, the sea, the Vesuvius, the gardens, the underground city, the artistic underground, the museums, the people, the food. Everything breathes culture, joy and that's what we love about the city. As local we know that certain things could improve as it is a shame that such a beautiful city is impoverished by some incivil people because of that lack of, well, services and its association which outshines its incredible beauty. We hope instead that you will return to Naples, maybe during summer, when the weather is great and you can enjoy the city longer. Regarding Pompeii, as the description says, we leave our customers free to visit the site independently. The guided tour inside the site is only allowed by local licensed tour guides. You can in fact request a guided tour inside with a licensed tour guide which can be organized by our team for only € 15.00 per person or hire an audio guide for € 5.00 at the entrance. The tour is not compulsory but we are glad you took it as the local guides from Pompeii are always fond about the site and love giving info about the site. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts about the sites you visited and we hope to have you again in the future with us.
