Overview

The romance and passion of the Italian opera is a highlight of any trip to Italy—yet for lovers it’s best enjoyed in a more intimate setting than an opera house. Still family-owned, the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj provides the dramatic backdrop for an evening of arias and duets by world-famous operatic composers—and classic Neapolitan songs. Upgrade for VIP seating.

What to Expect

Make your own way to the opulent Doria Pamphilj Palace, and enjoy a guided tour of the private apartments—a grand series of rooms that have been home to princes and princesses for centuries. Then take your seat in the Throne Room, with its throne reserved for the pope, for the concert proper.

Enjoy signature arias and duets from operas by Verdi, Puccini, Bellini, and Rossini, performed by a soprano and a tenor accompanied by piano. While the singing is in Italian, you can follow along in the English-language program. After the interval, enjoy classic Neapolitan songs: if you wish, you can buy a CD to take home.

Simply wonderful - perfecto

What a fabulous and unique experience. The warmth of Paola and her team shines through the performance and we really appreciated the brief explanation of each story before each serenade was performed. On more than one occasion, I was moved to tears, which I suppose...More

Magical!

We got the VIP tickets - this got a slightly better view (there are only 8 rows maybe) and cushions on our seats. The pianist was utterly superb. Not a wrong note was played, and she played with such expression! The tenor was strong -...More
