About
Only for those who have a sweet tooth! Meet your local guide for a specially designed tour of Rome’s best desserts. Learn all about Italian sweets, and how they have been part of the culture since the old times. Talk to local artisans who hand-make delicious things every day, and sample a series of rich treats: from chocolates and pastries to the famous cannoli, tiramisu, gelato; but you will taste also the less known babà, sfogliatella, and brutti ma buoni biscuits. As you walk, you will also see some of Rome’s many highlights, and your guide will share stories about the city’s history and culture.

Brilliant, unusual tour
Oct. 2019
We met our guide,Alessia, a few minutes before our tour began, and were pleased to hear that we were the only ones (2 of us) on the tour. As it wasn’t meant to be a private tour, we were glad it wasn’t cancelled. We visited several different bakeries, chocolate, ice cream and cake shops, sampling their wares at each stop. We learnt a little about the families that run them, what region of Italy they originated from etc. On our way, we saw some beautiful churches, and “off the beaten tracks” sights, that we wouldn’t have seen if we hadn’t taken this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Even though the tour was due to end a bit further away from our hotel than our starting point, she walked some of the way back with us, which was nice as it was in the evening, getting dark, and we were afraid of getting lost! This was the perfect way to end our short break in Rome. Thank you Alessia.
