About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 602margueriteb0 contributionsDelve More Deeply into BolognaWe have never booked a walking tour before now so we took the plunge and we are pleased that we did. Not only did we learn a great deal about the history and the development of Bologna but we also became more familiar with the general layout of the old historical center. That, in turn, gave us more confidence to go and wander around, to explore more places and features. It was exactly the result we sought. Our guide was - of course - knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful in answering questions. We definitely recommend taking this tour early in your visit to Bologna!Written September 3, 2024
- Susie S0 contributionsOld town walking tourCloudia was a fantastic guide - incredibly knowledgeable and we visited really interesting spots around the old town - would definitely recommendWritten September 1, 2024
- Steve K0 contributionsGood Simple Automotive Museums TourWe had a driver only and no guide. However, not really required for the museums. The description mentions lunch at a farmhouse however, our meal was at a restaurant. The food was good however. Good way to see the two automotive museums from Bologna.Written September 1, 2024
- alisonf4310 contributionsFascinating, well-structured tourA very well-structured tour, so that the historistical information was connected by various recurring threads. Our guide Benedetta was perfect, as was the bluetooth technology which enabled us to hear every word at our own chosen volume, without her raising her voice or disturbing others. I found two hours to be the perfect length.Written August 22, 2024
- pjb4340 contributionsExcellent walking tourOur tour guide made the whole experience. She gave us amazing information in a pleasant and humorous way. Well worth the moment net and time invested.Written July 30, 2024
- Karen B0 contributionsA gem of a cityDid a day trip on the train from Florence. What a beautiful city. My trip gave me an idea of the city so I can return for a few days next time to really enjoy it. One of my now favourite Italian citiesWritten July 30, 2024
- vecchio050 contributionsTour Guides Need to have a firm script and visit important sites such as University rooms. The tour was just average. We were delayed waiting for late arrivals, then further delayed because the audio equipment and ear pieces did not work. The tour guide was lovely, but got sidetracked by a few guests who continually interrupted asking their own personal questions, thereby leaving the rest of us to wait. At the end of the tour, I felt I had learned very little about Bologna, so just a very average score from us.Written July 22, 2024
- Jonnywizz0 contributionsHandy lift to the basilica with food vouchersTo be honest, my wife and I just wanted to get to the basilica but didn't fancy the porticoed walk in 30+ degree heat. The noise of the engine drowned out the commentary but that was fine. Slightly misleading reference to food tasting as these turned out to be vouchers but the sandwich, gelato and fridge magnet were gratefully received. Worth it just to avoid landing at San Luca looking like a red, sweaty lump.Written July 15, 2024
- ellensS2889WH0 contributionsShould have been called lets not walk tourThe tour was almost in one square of Bologna, the tour guide spent almost an hour in the church in the square, there was almost no walking or seeing BolognaWritten July 14, 2024
- A6630WLclairen0 contributionsExcellent, knowledgeable tour guideRichardo was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide, we learnt much more about the history and origin of Bologna than is usual on a walking tour which we really enjoyed. It was an interesting and insightful tour and I really recommend. The day was very very hot and I would have preferred to start earlier (around 9.30) so that you miss the hottest part of the day and we also missed a couple of the churches as they were closed but Richardo gave us great information on what to visit in our own time. There was also a requirement not to have your knees and shoulders out in one of the churches - we were prepared for the shoulders but didn't realise about the knees, it would have been helpful to have this information in advance. All in all, would really recommendWritten July 12, 2024
- jaynem3260 contributionsMore talking than walkingFirst the earphones I was provided with were covered with yellow ear wax , not very nice they did give another pair but hygiene is important!!!!.This was off putting from the start 2 hour walking tour was mainly 2 hour talking we spent over 1 and 1/2 hours in 1 square and only when we asked for a little less information and more site seeing /walking did we move on . There is no doubt our guide was highly knowledgable but it was not what we expected. The knowledge whilst interesting was very dry, and all ancient history rather than mixed regarding the last century ,the delivery was also intense. We always do a walking tour when visiting a new city to get the lie of the land ,this was not this tours agenda, a bit dissapointing to be honest , perhaps I misread the description It did say we would try some delicacies at the Quadrilatero market. not sure why that did not happen . I did learn some new and interesting info but too much to retain. A very intellectual lecture rather than a tourWritten July 8, 2024
- nurse a0 contributionsExcellent tour of Parma Centro storicoExcellent tour guide (sorry to say I forgot her name - young, blonde woman, excellent English). She gave us an excellent tour of Parma history and sites in the Centro storico. We ended with a Parmesano-Reggiano tasting!Written July 4, 2024
- tessaw4880 contributionsMedieval DelightWe enjoyed this gorgeous town and the history. Our guide was great and spent extra time on the places we were most interested in seeing. I would say the price was a little steep, but if you've got some extra time and extra dollars, definitely worth a visit with tour guide. The town has a rich history and we learned alot. It's a medieval wonder!!Written July 3, 2024
- L5225IZdebh0 contributionsGreat introduction to the heart and history of BolognaThis tour was a great introduction to the heart and history of Bologna. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. She guided the group with care and sensitivity to the diversity of the people in it. We felt well prepared to set off on our own after this tour.Written July 3, 2024
- Nomad276699373220 contributionsLeft a bad tasteOur guide Barbara, on Tuesday morning, 2nd July 2024, has a deep knowledge of the history, architecture, culture and art of Bologna. She also introduced us to daily street life, making us aware of vehicle and pedestrian traffic as we walked through the old streets and alley ways. Her presentation was comprehensive, entertaining and to the point. I particularly liked her potted history of the old university and of San Stefano square. She is well spoken and fluent in English without having a heavily accented pronunciation. I would enjoy another tour with her. Two incidents occurred on her guided walk. (1) I myself was the unfortunate cause of the first. We had just been told about the beautiful colonnades and porticos when a woman dashed out across the traffic against a red light. Barbara pointed out how dangerous her actions were. At the same time I walked on believing our group was to proceed along the portico. Barbara had to haul me back as I'd accidentally gone ahead. She then proceeded to give me a very annoyed dressing down. I apologized profusely very embarrassed that I'd caused a disruption to her tour, she did not accept apology and said I behaved like a child. As a t⁶eacher myself I understand her frustration but felt unnecessarily humiliated. A sharp short friendly reminder would have adequately put the message across to our large group of 23. (2) She pointed out a restaurant area giving some interesting background but then told us to avoid '051' restaurant and at some length described her dissatisfaction. Highly unprofessional attitude from a promoter of her town, It would have been enough to say that it wasn't one she could recommend. Her attitude to Basilica doormen was equally unkind. Good city knowledge but low on professionalism.Written July 2, 2024

Very disappointed that the Full Day experience, which should have included entry to The Ferrari Factory and the circuit as well as the 2 Museums did not happen. The Museums were great but we were home by 2.30pm, straight after lunch because it was just the 2 museums and a simulator . It was a birthday treat, specifically to include the circuit and factory and it was very expensive.
Replacing those 2 experiences with a 10 minute simulator was not a fair exchange in our opinion, with no explanation and no refund of part of the cost

Dear customer, we are sorry to read this review because this is one of our most appreciated tours! As communicated the day before the tour, the panoramic tour of the circuit (not the factory, as it is not possible to enter there) was unavailable. Therefore, it was replaced with the simulator, which is actually part of the VIP tour. Additionally, the booking platform specifies that in case of unavailability, this substitution will occur. We regret that you found the tour expensive, but we would like to remind you that it also includes entry to two museums, lunch, and a transfer with a private driver who is available for the entire duration of the tour. We hope this clears up any doubts. Have a great day!

Unfortunately, I could not speak Italian language, guide cannot speak English.
But, guide used google translation and explained history of bologna, Modena etc.
And entry ticket for each museum well arranged.
Lunch restaurant was really nice taste.
It was nice day for us.
If I have chance again, I will choose bologna tour again.

I’m so glad I did the Ferrari all day which was the original museum and Enzo home and then the track and factory and another new museum. It was very emotion seeing the two together. I was on the fence about buying one but I will for sure now. There truly a dream car to own.

The museums were good. I wish they would have more interactive exhibits to show you the technology inside Ferraris and how they’re built. The bus tour of the factory was disappointing. There was not much you can see from the bus.

As a Ferrari fan, this was a true highlight of my trip to Bologna - Maranello is such a magical place to be! The museum showed the beautiful history on the evolution of its brand! A day to remember!

The day went very smoothly and we were able to see both Ferrari museums, do the bus tour of the factory and track, walk around Modena and have a good lunch without feeling rushed at any point. It made it very easy and enjoyable - my son, who is an F1 fan, loved it!

Staying at Maranello Village. Can I take this tour from there?
Will it be less money since we do not need to be picked up in Bologna?
Thanks
