Overview
Take a hands-on approach to visiting the island of Murano with this combo factory tour and artful workshop. Reaching the island on your own can be tricky, but a guide escorts you from central Venice to colorful Murano via public water taxi for a smooth transfer. Once there, watch master artisans at work with a live glassblowing demo, followed by a chance to make your own one-of-a-kind souvenir during a mosaic or jewelry class.

Discover the Murano glass tradition by watching and working with local masters and craftsmen. Visit Colleoni Glass Factory and assist in a private performance of an expert glass master with a demo of blowing and sculpture technique. Then, choose one of the available workshops and make your own object in Murano glass. Whichever type of activity you choose will permit you to work with a local craftsman and make your personalized item.

The demonstration was enjoyable. Felt a bit of pressure to purchase and they should mention that you need tickets for the ferry too as this is not included in the cost of the tour.
