This was our last night in Italy and wanted something special. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. This tour was not at all as advertised. When we arrived at the winery it started out very pleasant with a good sommelier. However when it was dinner time we were a party of 4-received 4 pieces of

Dear Alliecharlie, Thank you for choosing Florencetown and for sharing your feedback about this experience. Being a customer oriented company we highly appreciate our guests opinions, both positive and negative, since they are fundamental in order to constantly improve the level of our services. Let me start saying that we are glad to know you loved the first part of the experience, related to the Wine Lab. On the contrary, we are very sorry to hear that you did not appreciate the dinner part and felt like this was misrepresented. Thus please, let me go through the points you underline. First of all, the dinner is actually a 4-course one, as described: a starter (usually made by tasting of cold cuts and cheeses with home made jams), a pasta (that day the Chef prepared a beef ragu sauce as a daily dish), a main course (for instance Arista – that is a typical Italian cut – with beans, a course that is specifically served in Tuscany) and Cantuccini (typical Tuscan biscuits) with a taste of sweet wine (Vinsanto). The dinner is usually served with a tasting of different wines: the first one in the winery, during the wine lab experience; three wines paired with the dishes; a final wine (sweet one) with desert, for a total of 5 tastings. The restaurants of the winery confirms that the olive oil tasting was done at the beginning of the dinner (the oil is produced by the Olive Mill inside the Winery itself and a bottle of it was at disposal of our guests for other tastings, during the whole dinner). Finally, for what concerns drop on and drop off locations, please note they are both in the very Florence city center, 7 minutes distance walking one to the other. The reason you were dropped off in a different square is that at night circulation of some vehicles is limited in some areas, thus we chose the closest point possible, in order to be comfortable for you. Based on that, we do believe that the experience and dinner are correctly described on our website and on other distribution channels. This said, it is clear that your perception of the tour was different, compared to the ones of other guests, as you can also read from the many positive reviews we receive about this tour everyday, and we are very sorry about that. Sometimes I imagine is a also a matter of tastes and expectations. If you had told us, or called the office the day after, we would have taken care of you, and tried to immediately understand what happened, this in order to do something to compensate your disappointment. We are very sorry that you did not have the chance to test the real level of our services and customer care, thus you are strongly invited to contact us again, if back to Florence. We will make sure, as we do everyday, you will live the best experience possible. Again, thank you for choosing our company. Best regards, Benedetta Borri

The sommelier taught us about the different grapes grown in Italy and then gave us the opportunity to create - using the 3 primary grapes - our own blend. My 17-year-old grandson loved this event! We enjoyed a delicious meal in a beautiful setting with great company. Before
