Our guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the Medici family and the history of Florence. She had so much information. A few years back, we watched the Netflix series about the Medici and we were so enthralled about it that we made a trip to Florence last year and back again this year to see what we missed last year. It was great to see in person what we saw in the Netflix series. We went to the Bargello museum to see the little Bronze David, which was in the Medici home in the Netflix series.

Having just a few days to explore Florence, we booked three separate tours of the Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens to make the most of our short visit to this culturally rich city.
