This afternoon tour begins as you meet your guide at Florence’s centrally located Piazza della Repubblica. From there, it’s a speedy stroll to the Duomo. With its soaring dome designed by Brunelleschi and ornately painted walls, the cathedral is one of Florence’s most recognizable highlights. With skip-the-line access, you head straight inside. Learn from your guide about the landmark’s history, and discover the masterworks within. Next, head up the staircase and discover an area has been off-limits to most visitors for centuries: its terraces, which at more than 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground offer panoramic views overlooking the city. Take photos of the vista before climbing even higher to the top of Brunelleschi’s dome. The tour finishes inside the Duomo, though you can linger after its conclusion. Your ticket also grants you limited-time access to other Duomo complex sites, including Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistry of San Giovanni.

    Fun cooking!
We had a great time at this event. Our Chef was Roberta and we attended a Sunday class. The chef was very informative while keeping the day fun. It is interesting to watch a chef who is trained do simple tasks in the kitchen, she was very efficient. We were divided into tables of Four and Six. The people at both our table and the group were great, made for a super day. The chef instructed the Bolognese and tomato sauces. The class does the scratch pasta. Note that on Sunday there is no market tour, we knew this ahead of time, it was fine the day was hot. I would do this activity again.

    Vespa tour
Central Florence is hard to navigate but navigating beyond that would have been impossible without this beautiful scenic Vespa tour. Very accommodating, Haider is very friendly and insightful with the tour and outside of it. Antonio hustles whilst maintaining patience. Would recommend, have confidence and go for it.

Best Vespa tour through Tuscany hills!
I had an incredible Vespa tour through the Tuscany hills, and it was the highlight of my trip! Our tour guides, Hider (I think) and Antonio, were absolutely fantastic. They were knowledgeable, energetic, and extremely reassuring, providing excellent instruction on how to drive the Vespa. They were also very accommodating with our large family, making the experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone. The tour itself was amazing, offering stunning views of the hills. I loved every moment of it. Highly recommend!

    Amazing Vespa Tour of Tuscany
A group of 6 went on this tour and we all had a fantastic time. Haider and Lorenzo were excellent guides who were knowledgeable in giving us the history of the area and showing concern for everyone's safety. This tour included a sandwich when visiting a Tuscan town, wine tasting at a winery and an excellent three course meal. But the best part of this tour was definitely riding the Vespa through the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommend this tour.

    our expectations were not met
I really want to say that we enjoyed this trip but sadly our expectations were not met. The office crew were very friendly - but the tour itself was a bit disappointing. First we gather together with our fellow group members (14) in Firenze & were taken into a bus to a nearby village which had a garage. There we had to try out some Vespa's which was a good idea because there were people who were never on a Vespa/scooter before. We lost a lot if time there to get everyone acquainted with the Vespa's. Eventually everybody could drive & we left on our Vespa's. These Vespa's were already used a lot. They had a lot of marks of falls/accidents etc. A lot of Vespa's also had missing mirrors or mirrors which were loose. How are you expected to feel safe when you drive 40 KM/hours on a road of 70 with traffic and no mirrors? After we started we had to stop already because one of the Vespa's broke down. After some time we continued our tour - on a very busy road. Traffic/cars/trucks were flying by at 70 km/hours but we could only do 40. We never stopped along the way so other people from the group were doing some very unsafe things to get a picture. Endangering us all - if they would fall, everybody would fall. After 1 hour we stopped in a village for 20 min ( because we lost already so much time - very nice but you could take 1 lap and then ready to go again) we drove back but not we stopped once nearby an older church/viewpoint which was nice for some pictures. After the tour we had our lunch at diadema with wine & olive oil tasting. We had 1 olive oil tasting on our plate - no more explanation & 2 glasses of wine. also no explanation. Lunch was very rushed and no information in what we were eating or information about the location. After lunch we got to visit the oil mill - which was kind of interesting because there was a movie playing in how this works. After this we were invited in a little shop & they pushed a lot for buying whine & olive oil. Starting the 'tasting' with a lot of details about shipping rates. We asked to try the white wine - and they said we could share a glass with 3 people. After that remark our intrest was gone. It is a very nice idea the vespa tour and again the office people were very kind but they should review their partners and route in this tour.

Safe your money for a better tour
Safe your money, this tour is a joke, all they do i take you underneath the 3 bridges, takes 25 minutes tops, the guide just pointed out a couple of random times to building as an afterthought and then returned and headed back. No wonder the persons ahead of us were complaining that they didn’t even get a bottle of water. Definitely would not recommend nor do again.

I think this tour is overrated. Compare to the other tour we had in Rome, this tour is highly priced. I would not recommend getting a tour to visit the Cathedral as inside is very simple compared to the other churches. About the skywalk of the dome, be advised that there is no elevator and you must climb 460 steps to reach the top. The steps are very narrow in certain areas and you have to wait for the other groups to come down before you could go up or vice versa. So if you have any kind of health condition skip this activity. The view from the top is magnificent but it is not worth paying $100 per person in my opinion.

Skip the Line: Duomo Skywalk- Florence Heaven: Exclusive! Awakening the Dome.
The meeting point for the tour was in Piazza del Duomo at 6:45am. Being in the Piazza as the sky lightened, before the vendors set up, and before the tourist began to gather was fantastic. I was able to take great, unobstructed photos and enjoy simply enjoy beauty of the Piazza.
Entering the Basilica with the key keeper and being in the quiet sacred space as the lights came on was very moving. The tour guide was very knowledgeable but spoke in hushed tones that enhanced the experience. After the initial inside view of the cathedral, the tour group enjoyed coffee and pastries together at an adjacent shop. It was an opportunity to share our initial impressions. After coffee, our guide lead us into the Baptistry and again shared her knowledge of the facility. Then, we returned to the Duomo and began the climb to the dome. WOW!...just WOW! We were the first group to make the climb that morning. We kept a steady but not overly fast pass as we climbed. We had plenty of opportunity to take photos of the interior of the dome on the interior terraces before we made it to the exterior of the dome. Stepping outside at the top of the dome and seeing the city awakening before us was inspiring. We had quite a bit of time at the time before any other tourists arrived at the top of the dome. An unexpected bonus was that our tour ticket remained valid for 48 hours so I could visit the museum, the bell tower, and the crypt as time allowed.

The line we skipped at 12pm was tiny. After some explanation of the church and artworks we were taken up to the Duomo.

On the way up we saw people from the line we skipped so I'm not sure what that was worth.

We were enjoying the view until we noticed the place being empty 10 mins later. It turns out the guide made an announcement on the microphone (which was breaking up most of the time due to the interference of the thick walls) and left without a headcount. Us and another couple were left behind so we made our way down. Luckily, nothing happened but if one of us fell on the steep staircase we would be helpless.

Once outside we had to contact head office to let them know that the guide lost us, and they sent her back to retrieve the radios. They had no clue we were even lost, no headcount or anything.

Very unprofessional compared to other tours we have done. And the price tag is not worth it considering we could have waited in line (not as busy during lunch) and gone up for much cheaper.

This booking includes skip the line tickets, which are essential as the queue is very long without them. It includes a guided tour of the building, the guide was knowledgeable of the history. Next a climb to the roof terrace and finally to the top of the dome. The views of the city were amazing. However be warned the climb is 463 steps, in the summer heat, not for the faint hearted!

This is absolutely the ONLY way to experience the Duomo! The package featured opening of the Duomo, where just our group of 8 could go into the cathedral the moment it is opened, experience the quiet, the beauty, and the architecture with just the voice of our guide in our ears. We got to climb the to the top of the Duomo where we could be entirely by ourselves before the first group of climbers arrive. We got the best coffee and pastry just when we needed it, and an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide to help enrich our experience. Must do!
In addition, the ticket gives us access to the Museo d' Opera dell Duomo, which is also a must see to get up close to all the original sculptures, and to the Baptistery.

The morning started at 6:30am with views of the Duomo and Baptistery with NO other people in sight. I.e. The square was empty at that hour. The tour started with the Duomo guard opening the side door with 3 keys and then leading us into the dark Cathedral. We were the only people in the Cathedral at that time. It was surreal to watch the lights come on and illuminate the alter and dome. After a pastry and coffee, our group entered the Baptistery thru a side door and had the place to ourselves. The tour culminated in a climb up the 463 steps to the top of the dome. For a good 10 minutes, we were the only group at the top looking out over Florence. At the end of the tour, our guide (Alla who did a fabulous job) gave each of us a ticket that allowed us a one-time visit to the crypt, the Bell Tower (in case we wanted to climb more stairs), and the Opera del Duomo Museum that holds Ghiberti's original gates of paradise.

This is the way to do the Duomo. Just being up so early and walking to the cathedral from our hotel was cool because the main city centre is so calm and quiet. We had Giada as our guide and she was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable. The climb was a workout but not as bad as you might think and when you get to the top it is worth every step!

This was an unforgettable visit located in the heart of Florence. The duration of the visit was perfect as in our tour guide Francesca Messina was very knowledgeable & gave us a good insight to the construction of this magnificent edifice. The climbing of the 500 steps was well worth the effort to see the sprawl of Florence beneath us. It was all very leisurely & well organised/co-ordinated with the Duomo staff so we had plenty of photo opportunities & time to ask questions & look around. We loved it & would definitely not hesitate recommending the tour & of course Francesca. Don’t forget to ask Francesca re. Freddie Mercury & Uventis & see her face light up 😀😀👍🌺

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative! We were given a receiver and ear phone to hear her, and that was perfect. The skip- the-line was well worth it, as the regular line to get into the duomo snaked around the building.
I am a bit claustrophobic, so the steps to the terrace were a bit of a challenge to me, but the view was worth it. Did not venture to the top of the dome. Tip: The ticket allows you to enter the “Opera” which is the Duomo Museum. I highly recommend seeing this and taking the €4 audio tour there.

This experience was waking up early to meet the tour guide at 6:45 AM. Once there, our small group met the key master for the Duomo and watched as they turned on the lights. We were the only ones there, and this city was super crowded! The tour guide was able to talk quietly about the history without any distractions. We then headed over for breakfast across the square, and made our way to the Baptisty next to the Duomo for another door opening and private tour. The sun was then rising in the city as we headed over to the Dome for the climb. So much history and so many steps. Not for the faint of heart, and we had two or three group members who did not make it to finish the tour. Once reaching the top, it was absolutely amazing, not to be missed! The tour guide explained what we were looking at in all directions before the general public was admitted. We were then given a 3 day pass to visit the museum and back into the Duomo if we wanted to do that. Loved this tour and we will never forget it.
