- henryst20240 contributionsOur guide named Daniel was greatMe and my mother went on a trip to Zurich. And we decided to go on this guided tour of the city. We were assigned a really nice guide named Daniel. He was very talkative and just a pleasure to be around in general. He explained everything perfectly and has everybody attention. Give that guy a raiseWritten October 12, 2024
- peechesgirl0 contributionsBeautiful Sites and a fun full day. This was a full day of beautiful sites. It would have been better in a clear day because the alps were not visible with all the clouds. The boat was rather crowded but otherwise a fun time with drinks available. Fun to see the mountain cows while going down in train. Great soup up at the top of the mountain. Very cold! Bring a jacket! Suggestion is go on a clear day.Written October 11, 2024
- Luis M0 contributionsThe trip of a lifetimeEverything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Everything was well organized and the tour guide was very knowledgeable!Written October 11, 2024
- onsarah0 contributionsHighly recommend Mt Pilatus and Lucerne trip - go for it!We did the Mt Pilatus and Lucerne day trip. Really great day, would highly recommend. Our guide Gaida was brilliant and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was very well organised and trip was stunnning.Written October 10, 2024
- Akmal_Rashad0 contributionsThe best dayWe really enjoyed all the rides and the coolness outside was superb. We really enjoyed the zipline which was very high where we needed to climb a ladder to get on the zip line and we could feel the coolness when we were on it. The ride from the bus to jaunfrajouch was very comfortable but the journey was long. We passed by many beautiful sceneries which were eye catching and can be called the best views.Written October 9, 2024
- Shona J0 contributionsGood day trip from ZurichGreat trip from Zurich, not too long on the coach. The stop in Lucerne was a little underwhelming as everything apart from church’s & cafes were closed on a Sunday. Mount Pilatus is stunning and the boat trip was an perfect ending as we could sit relax and have a beer..Written October 8, 2024
- louisebR8409ML0 contributionsMagnificent if good weather but too many peopleAround 5,000 people per day visit the top so it will be crowded. The tour group was a full buss, half coming from Zurich and half boarding from Interlaken. Pick up 10:45 and return around 18:00 to Interlaken. One guide explains in English and one guide in Chinese. Personally I would have preferred Chinese being in another bus - simply because hearing constant translation entire day is almost giving headache as the trip itself is also long and tiring. Any peace and quiet along the way would have allowed micro pauses and breathing room. 2 h at the top was too short. The full walk is 1,5 h and then only allows 30 min to eat. We went straight to the fancy resto and there was a queue to enter. The food was basic, no salad. After we rushed the walk but you will mainly be in queues. Best option is however to be part of this group as queue time is minimized and you have guaranteed seats and priority boarding to the cog train. Views cannot be guaranteed as it is usually cloudy. We have splendid weather and magnificent view - literally breathtaking. The gondola was super fun. All in all a great experience but too many people.Written October 8, 2024
- Tina F0 contributionsMake the day enjoyable, it's a beautiful location.Wonderful time enjoying a leisurely day in Lucern. We saw comments regarding the length of the stay at the location, we took full advantage of the time. When we first arrived we sat and enjoy coffee at a cut cafe by the lake. We walked around exploring without feeling rushed. We had a magnificent meal for lunch at Wolf Burger & Steak Bar. Explored some more. Sat and ate some amazing gelato at Amorino. Our tour guide was wonderful and gave information of soundings while traveling. The day is what you make it.Written October 7, 2024
- tylerbD3916YC0 contributionsIncredible Experience! This is hands down the best group tour we've ever been on! It was extremely well organized and the experience was the highlight of all of our 10 person group 11 day Europe Trip! Highly Recommend!Written October 7, 2024
- Tim D0 contributionsSchweeeeetttSo, Zurich is cool and all.... but that Chocolate Museum just did the trick. My diabetes appreciates all the free tasting. Oh, and the river cruise was also really cool.Written October 7, 2024
- Caroline M0 contributionsGood way to spend a Sunday when staying in Zurich. The Falls are worth seeing - water volume spectacular.Enjoyed trip, beautiful village. Good way to spend a sunday as everything in Zurich is closed. Roads not busy. I would have expected more history and details on sites we were driving past and also more details on the amazing history of the village and village life.Written October 6, 2024
- 962les0 contributionsDefinitely worth the time. The city tour was quite good and a little Old Town walking tour. The cruise was nice and Lindt was the highlight. So much great chocolate. They do mention that you take public transit back from Lindt. This very easy and they give you a 24 hour pass.Written October 6, 2024
- Y3282TQandrews0 contributionsAmazing views of this gorgeous waterfall! We spent one of our days in Switzerland visiting Rhine Falls, and it did not disappoint. It has multiple levels with multiple viewing spots for plenty of great views and pictures. I would highly recommend setting aside an afternoon to visit. Plus, after you've had a picturesque stroll through the levels, you can stop for a cold beverage before you go!Written October 5, 2024
- TrailBlazer6556330 contributionsA fun day at Jungfraujoch despite the weatherSandra our guide was great! She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She also got us through the lines of tourists to the gondola and train. After the Staubbach Falls Sandra suggested a quaint restaurant reached by cable car! It was wonderful! 4 stars only because snow and fog blocked views of the mountains at Jungfraujoch.Written October 4, 2024

The breathtaking panoramic views from the summit were worth every moment of the journey. The cogwheel train ride offered stunning landscapes, and the hiking trails provided a closer connection with nature. The serene Lake Lucerne in the backdrop added to the charm. A perfect destination for those seeking a mix of adventure and tranquility. Highly recommended!

We actually booked originally for Mount Titlus, but unfortunately the mountain was closed due to the wind. Although, the tour arranged for us to go to another mountain - mount Rigi on the same day.
The tour started with a bus ride to Weggis, which we then caught a cogwheel train up Mount Rigi. Here we spent two hours up on the mountain. We found the two hours to be excessive - we had enough time to take plenty of photos and have something to eat and the take away shop, with time to spare. Next we caught the cogwheel back down, to where we caught a boat across Lake Lucern to the town of Lucerne. Here you had two hours free time to explore the city. We enjoyed this and wish we had more time here to enjoy something to eat.
Overall: great tour, and our tour guides Christina and Isa were lovely and informative. We went mid December and didn’t have any snowfall.

Boring mountain with little to do. The view would have been nice but sadly it was too foggy to see anything. Beyond that there was nothing much.
There was a hot bath but that requires another 53 CHF.
Ferry ride back was beautiful, get to see different cities. However the return to Zurich was too soon so couldn't really check out Lucerne.

Dear Kah Keong S
Thank you for your review. Due to your explanation we assume you went on our partly-guided excursion to Mt. Rigi, the so-called Queen of the Mountains. This excursion gives quite a lot of flexibility to design your day depending on weather conditions and your interest. You can either stay only two hours on the mountain having then 2 hours in Lucerne or for example if you go for one of the splendid hikes you could stay 3 hours by shortening the stay in Lucerne to one hour. You mention, that the weather conditions this day where not very favourable as it was foggy. We understand that in this weather you didn’t opt for an extensive hike and visiting the Mineral Bath and Spa would have been more desirable. You are right when you say it is quite expensive, especially if you would only stay for an hour or so and not enjoying it the full day. It is a very nice, modern bath and we do think has a good value but as almost everything in Switzerland it has its price. Why didn’t you opt for the first descent, taking then the early boat ride to Lucerne to enjoy more time in Lucerne? Lucerne is a beautiful but small town and with two hours’ time you would have been able to get to know it quite well. We hope you still have good memories on your time spent in Switzerland and visit us once again in the future. With best regards

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this tour. After spending the day, we were so happy we did it! The cable car offered stunning views. The cogwheel train ride up Mount Rigi was a new experience for us. And the views from the top of Mount Rigi were unmatched!! I liked the fact that the tour left us to be as independent as we wanted to. We were told what time we had to be back to take the ferry across Lake Lucerne to meet the bus at the end of the day. The rest was up to us! We enjoyed the freedom to sightsee and find a place to have lunch at our own leisure. I definitely recommend this excursion if you've never been to Mount Rigi

It was a very nice trip that combined different experiences. We got the bus to the cable car on the base of Mount Rigi. We got up and had 2 hours to explore. For us 2 hours were enough to go to the top, take photos and then take our time to eat. Then we got the train to a village where we started a boat trip to Lucerne. In Lucerne we had a bit more than 2 hours that were enough for a basic exploring through the town. We love our guide Isabelle. Very nice person and had a lot to tell us and help us.

Does this trip require hiking or long walks in mountains or snowy roads?
Written November 18, 2019
Sorry, but I am not very clear with the schedule. After going up the mountain, spend sometime there, take pictures, how much time does one usually spend up there?
Then whereto? Walk alone around the town of Lucerne? For how long?
Then what time to go back to Zurich?
In which part of all these is the guide with the group?
