This walk was fantastic! The tour guide was informative, friendly and fun! It was about 2 hours and information packed / we learned about history, culture, and food and got an overview of the highlights of the city. I would highly highly recommend this exact walk!

      Informative tour
We did an informative tour around the city centre with Emre. He is very knowledgeable and shared historical, political and economical explanations of the city and the country. At the end of the tour he also recommended restaurants and more activities to do around the city. The only con was the group being so big.

      Zurich Walking Tour
Jonathan was very informative and fun. He seemed to have a good sense of both the city and the tour group, which was very quiet and shy. I apparently was the only American group, which was strange because it was an English-speaking tour. I could not stay for the entire tour because he went up to see the view and I didn't want to slow down the group. All in all, it was excellent.

Anastasia was our guide, she did a real good job. I would come again! Highly recommended to anyone, not only new comers but also people we stayed in Zurich for a while! 阿纳斯塔西娅是我们的导游,她做得非常好。 我还会再来的! 强烈推荐给所有人,不仅是新来者,也包括在苏黎世住过一段时间的人!

Passionate guides who know their stuff
This was one of the best guided walking tours I’ve been on. The guide, Emre was sensational. He spoke loud and clearly and knew the history of Zürich beautifully. One thing he did, which usually no other guides do, is to repeat the question which was asked to him, so good. These free walks are a great initiative and the guides are always so passionate. Highly recommend.

      Free tour of old Zurich
The fact that Zurich does this for free is amazing. And in multiple languages. Kudos! We found the info interesting though we expected less standing around. The group was large enough that it was difficult to hear everything. We expected more of a quick orientation than the dive down discussions we had. But worth doing for sure.

Discovering 2 districts of Zürich West
Excellent tour across Zürich West. Our guide Mohit - with only 2 years of living experience in Switzerland - brought us to the key buildings in this area of Zürich!

Terrific introduction to the streets, buildings and history of Zurich
Our guide Julian was knowledgeable and very funny as he guided us on the 11am group walking tour through Zurich - pointing out its landmarks and historical sites. A terrific and very enjoyable introduction to the city and its history.

      Excellent and informative
Josef was an excellent and informative guide with a wry sense of humour. Time passed quickly, his English was fluent and he also peppered his talk with Swiss current affairs. A great introduction to Zürich. We would highly recommend it.

Great walking tour of Zurich's old city. Highly recommended.
Maria was a great tour guide. She took us to see all the important sites in the Alstadt and had funny anecdotes and factual information on all the sites. I found it to be most informative and really enjoyed the tour and hightly recommend it to anyone visiting Zurich.

This tour was a walking tour of Switzerland with stops at 3 places. At Sprungli, we did not have chocolate, but we had Luxembergerli, which is like a macaron. We then went to Teuscher where we tried truffles and we stopped at Laderach where we sampled various chocolates. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the sweets. It's basically a free tour and all you're paying for is to taste the sweets (which we enjoyed!).

This was a great tour. They combined history with chocolate tasting. Learn a little history, eat a little chocolate. Some of the history was chocolate based and some general history. We learned a lot and had a good time. This tour wasn't exactly free, we paid CHF30 each. I believe this was to cover the chocolate purchases that the guide made during the tour and then gave to us to try. Totally worth it.

Peter was our guide and he was very gracious and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Zurich. Of course, the chocolate was wonderful as well. He kindly paced the tour to accommodate a member of our party with a disability, and patiently answered the many questions we had.

This tour is somewhat misnamed. It’s a tour of Altstadt with three stops for tastings - at Sprüngli for Luxumbergerli, Teuscher for champagne truffles, and Läderach for various flavors of tempered chocolate (what you’d think of as Swiss chocolates). So it’s not all chocolate plus you wander all over the place going up and down hills and stairs. That could be mentioned in the description. It was irritating to walk up to Lindenhof (a lookout) only to be told ok we’re going now with no time for pictures… from a lookout! The guide did tell interesting stories, but the group was large and she wasn’t good about projecting her voice or facing everyone so we could all hear. One thing that bothered us was that at Sprüngli, each person picked our two flavors they wanted, then everything was put into one large box, then the guide distributed them in a city square, with everyone putting their dirty hands in the box and touching whatever, including the person who had just sneezed into her hands. For some reason, Annalise obtained one glove at Läderach to distribute pieces, but her other hand touched them anyway and after a few pieces, she was letting people stick their own hands in. On a positive note, Annalise was extremely conscious of nut and other allergies and made considerable effort to ensure each person had something they could safely eat at each stop. This tour should have focused more on chocolate. We passed at least two other chocolate shops that were not even mentioned! The truth is, you could do this on your own; Läderach gives samples anyway, and you could buy your own samples at all of the stops and then some for the price of this tour. A suggestion: you could end the tour with a list of other chocolate shops to visit.

The tour is not worth booking. Our tour guide Anastasia (?) was very unorganised, spoke too softly, and lacked leadership for quite a big group of people. About half of the people left the tour early even though they’d already paid.

The guide was personable but when we were in the chocolate shops choosing a chocolate each it was a shambles and it seemed that the staff at the chocolatiers weren’t expecting big groups which the guide did not manage well. We spent about a third of the tour just waiting around and not being guided.

There also wasn’t much information about the history of chocolate which seems like this would be the main point of the tour.

Our guide did do the tour on a day when quite a lot was happening in Zurich so it may have been different on a different day or with a different guide.

Just do the free tour and go and buy 3 chocolates from the shops for less than £27.

We spent a week in Zurich and went on this tour with Peter one rainy morning. Peter himself was a wonderful guide, providing us with his perspective on Zurich and Switzerland which was quite enlightening. The chocolate tour itself was disappointing to me, as I had hoped for a tour that would take us to a few less well-known chocolate houses. Here we went to three of the four largest and best known swiss chocolate houses (Sprungli, Tuescher, and xxxx), and these companies have stores all over the city and in the airport etc. I was hoping to stop in at a few of the many smaller more boutique chocolate houses, but that wasn't what this was about.

I send this voucher for my sister and nephew to do in Zurich and they both hated it, They said it was very touristy, the guide only talked about the city which they already know.
I did this type of tour in London and it was fabulous we went to very special chocolatier houses and found out the most interesting stories about chocolate and the art of making chocolate. I expected this tour to be as good as the London tour considering how famous the Swiss chocolate is. Very disappointing. I will never book a tour like this again!

Our guide Peter was knowledgeable and personable. The tour provided samplings from different chocolate makers, providing history of the companies. It was informative and fun. Just enough time to really enjoy the uniqueness of each sample.

Highly recommended as a fun activity, particularly if you like chocolate!!!

Learned about Swiss chocolate and its history, visited 4 Swiss chocolate shops and sampled some amazing chocolates, and met some interesting pepper (both locals and others from away like us) on the tour. Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable about Swiss chocolate and Zurich. This tour is a great way to spend a couple hours in Zurich!

Loved our tour guide Peter. Loved the trek to the chocolate shops and appreciated learning Swiss history and nuances along the way. I think if I could improve one thing, it would be to add more chocolate history. Like why Switzerland is known for its chocolate or the history of the stores.
