Overview

There’s more to the Amsterdam Red Light District than illuminated windows and coffee shops. Follow a guide through the narrow streets on a walking tour, and watch as the enclave comes to life. Perfect for solo travelers and the curious, this tour traces Amsterdam’s sex trade from disreputable beginnings to today's welcoming environment. You’ll also visit the Museum of Prostitution and explore the area at night, when it’s busiest.

What to Expect

Your tour begins in central Amsterdam, where you’ll greet your guide in the late evening.

Wind your way through a network of narrow streets and listen to your guide talk about the history of the Amsterdam Red Light District and the sex trade in the Netherlands.

Walk past the illuminated windows; look at props and costumes from the past during the included visit to the Museum of Prostitution; and admire Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canal network illuminated by night.

Your tour concludes in the Amsterdam Red Light District.
