Amsterdam Open Boat Canal Cruise
From US$17.43
Overview
One of the best ways to see Amsterdam and its attractions is from the water. Prebook this 1-hour boat tour of the city’s canals, and you won’t need to find transportation on the fly or wait in lines for on-the-day tickets. Plus, with boats coming every half-hour, you cruise on your schedule. Enjoy watching the city float by in a relaxing setting (drinks are available for purchase) as you listen to guided commentary.
What to Expect

Pick up a travel voucher for this Amsterdam open-top boat tour in a central location. Boats run for 12 hours straight on the canals, from 11am to 11pm, and come about every 30 minutes. The flexible timing takes the stress out of sightseeing.

Once you board the boat, you’ll take a seat, and meet the captain and host. If it’s chilly, you can bundle under a provided blanket while you listen to your guide share stories and facts about the city’s history, culture, points of interest, and people.

Along the way, catch sight of Oude Kerk (Old Church), Magere Brug, and Amstel River. If you’d like, you can purchase an alcoholic drink (own expense) to sip on during this tour.

After exploring Amsterdam on the city’s canals, your boat docks back at shore and your tour ends.

Excellent cruise of the canals, big and small, with informative commentary.

This was an excellent way to see the canals of Amsterdam and learn about its history. Michel and Luna were entertaining and amusing hosts. Much better experience than the large boats with pre-recorded commentaries.

Great tour and fab hosts

An excellent tour of the canals, beautiful scenery and some interesting info from the guides (Boris and Larisa)... A balance between city facts and humour. Really good experience to start off a weekend away. Would definitely recommend, total value for money!
