Overview
Escape the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam on a visit to the traditional Dutch village of Giethoorn, known as the Venice of Holland. Explore the car-free village’s paths and trails, admire the rural architecture, and glide through the canals on a boat cruise. Avoid the stress of public transport with round-trip transfer from a central location in the capital.
What to Expect
Meet your guide at Victoria Hotel in central Amsterdam and board your vehicle, which sets off to explore the quaint village of Giethoorn.
On arrival, park on the village outskirts and walk into the entirely car-free city center. Stroll the streets, paths, and trails with your guide, noting the houses’ thatched-roofs and well-kept lawns. A walk to the canal banks reveals punters as they sail by.
Next, board a boat and cruise through the waterways, passing farmhouses, gardens, and wooden bridges, while gaining insight into the history of Giethoorn. Afterward, disembark for some independent exploration. Peruse the local shops, explore more walkways, and immerse yourself in the village’s ambiance.
At the end of your visit, relax on the drive back. Your tour concludes at the original departure point.

Giethorn

Giethorn is an beautiful and quiet little town, where the main transport is the boat. In a nut of words, is MAGIC. And it's more incredible with a good guide who explains all about it and has a good and cute personality like Cherry.
