What to Expect
Begin your tour with Ponta Delgada hotel pickup. As you head east, visit the Nossa Senhora da Paz, a church hidden high in the mountains around Vila Franca do Campo. Admire the views from the secluded vantage point.
Then head to the volcanic town of Furnas and opt for a thermal pool experience (not included), or wander its streets, before stopping for a traditional ‘cozido’ lunch. Savor the ground-cooked stew, followed by dessert and coffee.
Next, enjoy vistas of the Furnas Lake and valley from an elevated viewpoint, then onward to the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park to view its waterfall. Soak up one of the best coastal views of the island from a high cliff, then relax on your return to town, finishing with hotel drop-off.
