Sintra and Cascais Small-Group Day Trip from Lisbon
US$89.16
Overview
Unless you rent a car, traveling between the dispersed landmarks of Sintra and Cascais is a difficult task. Journey along Lisbon’s Atlantic coast with ease on a small-group day trip, limited to just eight people to guarantee personalized attention from your guide. Take a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Pena National Palace, enjoy time at your leisure in the historic center of Sintra, and stop at the affluent coastal town of Cascais.
What to Expect

This guided tour begins in central Lisbon. Greet your guide and board an air-conditioned minivan destined for Sintra. Your first stop is Pena National Palace, where you can explore the neighboring Pena Park and take a guided tour of the colorful palace.

After ample time to photograph the UNESCO World Heritage Site, take advantage of free time to wander the historic center of Sintra and purchase lunch (own expense). Once you’ve reconvened with your guide, return to the coach and travel past Quinta da Regaleira and the Palace of Monserrate.

Stop at the cliffside lookout point of Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point, and pay a brief visit the Hell’s Mouth (Boca da Inferno) and Cascais, a charming seaside resort. Here you can enjoy some time to stroll along the beach.

Your tour concludes at your original departure point in Lisbon.

A GREAT DAY IN SINTRA

Our guide John, was excellent. He had a two groups of tourists, 3 from Ecauador and 5 from the U.S. He did a great job balancing the non English speakers with the Spanish only speaker. He was entertaining and helpful. I strongly recommend this tour....More

Sintra was fascinating, beautiful and what a romantic story! Ricardo Bento, our guide, was charming, knowledgeable, curtious and gave us the best recommendation for restaurants in Sintra. Tapantiga was great. At the top of the main drag, and so worth it! Small portions of everything,...More

We didn't contract for a tour, we drove to the site in our rental car, parked at the side of the road, once there and bought our entrance tickets at the booth. Easy as can be.

No, but you can make time to see it on the stop at Sintra (you just have to get a very quick lunch to go if you do that). It's about a 15 minute walk there but if your whole group wants to go, perhaps you can come to an... More

Since you are probably taking the red eye and will need a moment to get settled I would spend the morning checking out your surroundings and then take an afternoon tour of either Belem (which is a neighborhood in Lisbon) or... More
