Great Company to Work With!
We set up a tour several months ago, when we began planning our March Break trip. The back and forth was great. Gonzalo was immediately responsive and helped put together a great custom day tour for my family of six.
Very sadly (and shame on the pathetically disorganized government of Portugal) there have been some inexplicable restrictions placed on Canadians wishing to travel to Portugal at the moment (despite the fact that the EU has no such restrictions). We were incredibly disappointed to have to cancel our trip as a result.
I reached out to Gonzalo about a refund and despite the fact that our contract did not guarantee a refund, based on the circumstances, the company agreed to refund us. This was a really nice outcome.
I will definitely be booking with Magik tours again in the future!

Great company for private tours
Our tour guide Nuno was first rate. Professional, knowledgeable and all around a top notch experience. A private tour is a great way to see all the highlights of the city when you have a short amount of time. This is an excellent company to work with and highly recommend.

Excellent comprehensive tour of beautiful Lisbon with a very knowledgeable local guide.
Couples
We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour with Gui who was very knowledgeable about history and culture (and football!!). We travelled all over the city being taken to all the best viewpoints and were treated to some delicious pastéis de Belém! We particularly enjoyed our wander through Alfama where we stopped for lunch. I had mentioned how much I loved sardines and Gui had rung ahead to make sure they were on the menu! They were delicious!

Extremely disappointing
This trip was part of my mother's 80th birthday weekend celebrations and we had written in advance regarding mobility issues. No consideration had been given by Joe to mobility in planning this trip. Neither had he checked that the sites we were taken to were open (Museu do Combatente, Jeronímos monastery, Roman amphitheatre). All were closed, or closed when we visited. He eventually just drove around the city, parked, stayed with the van and directed us to several sites 'that one has a nice ceiling'. After visiting a very nondescript bookshop - we decided to cut the tour short. This was the main event of the weekend and a tremendous disappointment. The tour was expensive and in no way enjoyable or value for money.

The Magic of Lisbon
We travelled to Portugal in 2018 and I wish we could go back. We had signed up for a Back Roads tour north of Lisbon, but wanted to experience as much of Lisbon as possible in a short time, so we signed up for a private guide and I am so glad we did. The owner was very responsive when I reached out on-line and asked what we were interested in -- and the guide was able to tailor our trip to us. We learned about Portugal's history, culture, art, politics, neighborhoods and customs, and we were able to experience the highlights of the city without wandering aimlessly (which can be also be fun but wasnt our plan). Our guide was informative and fun to be with, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Excellent private tour
I don't remember the driver's name but he was delightful. By the end of the day we all felt like we were old friends. He suggested places for us to go because we knew nothing of Lisbon, and we had a wonderful day with a variety of visits, including the cathedral, a cake shop, the statue of Christ the Redeemer, as well as driving around the city to see as much as possible.
This trip was pre-Covid.

Fantastic 1 day tour of Lisbon
We booked our tour about 2 weeks ahead of time and fortunately there had been a cancellation and they could take us. Lisbon is very spread out and we had a very spacious, comfortable and modern van for the 5 of us. The guide picked us up right on time at the agreed location. He spoke excellent English and had a fabulous knowledge of Portugese history. I highly recommend this tour and our guide, Gui, if you only have a day in Lisbon and want to see as much as possible.

Private Tour of LIsbon
We spent two days with Portugal Magik Tours and Diogo Andrade, touring Lisbon and the surrounding areas. Diogo was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the area, history, and culture. We highly recommend Diogo and Portugal Magik Tours - they exceeded our expectations and made our time in Lisbon memorable.

Fantastic private tour in Lisbon!
Viktor- our guide was great! We learned so much about Lisbon and it’s history. He was incredibly knowledgeable and receptive to questions. He adapted the itinerary based on our questions and made it a great day! Should out to our driver Sergio, too!

Magik in Portugal
Would recommend Magik Tour Company in Lisbon to anyone visiting Portugal. The owner was very responsive when I contacted him online. My husband and I had a fabulous guide, Joe! Joe gave us a great tour of Lisbon prior to our cruise. After returning from our cruise, Joe took us to Sintra (wonderful), had a great lunch in a fun Sintra restaurant, and then a ride to the airport. Loved, loved, Portugal and hopefully, we will return. Will contact Magik for their expertise, nice automobiles, and superb guides.
