Miguel is very competent person who loves his job. He gave clear and nice answers to the questions. This tour is definitely worth the price.

Mario, our tour guide is likeable, and witty. Very knowledgeable. Tour is worth it. Probably is good for first timers. Highlights of the cities given the limited time we have.

We enjoyed an excellent day visiting the Douro vineyards area, tasting Porto wine and learning a lot of the local culture, geography and useful visitors tips. Our guide, Bruno Osório largely compensated for the rainy weather! He was an excellent local guide! A day to remember, we totally recommend this tour and guide!

It was a great tour and Miguel was very informative. It’s not his fault that it rained all day! I wish that it hadn’t been raining, otherwise we could’ve seen many more things.

Two wineries with tasting, boat trip on the river and lunch was also great at the Quinta de Santa Julia Ana was a great tour guide and a fantastic driver!

We had a great experience, good food and lots of wine. Joao, Jefferson, and the rest of the staff were great. We really enjoyed learning about and trying a great variety of wines, and the staff made an exceptional effort to make sure we enjoyed.

Great tour of Douro River Valley with Nuno as the perfect driver, tour guide, and fountain of all kinds of information that made an almost 10 hour day a perfect experience. Nuno made sure that our small group of 8 strangers seem like it was a family outing as he made sure all specifics went smoothly so we could enjoy ourselves as much as possible. Starting off a wonderful stop in Amarante our trip took in a tremendous lunch with wine pairings, a boat trip with more wine tastings, and finally a stop at Croft winery to finish up our tasting journey with 3 more pours. And the ride back to Porto was another opportunity for Nuno to shine, and he didn't disappoint. Bravo.

Excellent tour of 2 very interesting and picturesque Portugal cities near Porto. Our guide - Carmen -was excellent; VERY knowledgeable, organized, informative and good in English . So glad we took this tour.

Stops were too long and it was hard to keep up with the tour guide. Both places were beautiful but tour could have probably been done in less time. Guide also didn’t wait for entire before he began talking about location.

We had Jorge as our driver/guide to Braga & Guimaraes and Nuno for our private tour to Douro Valley. Their knowledge and enthusiasm made our trips very enjoyable. In addition to sightseeing, we learned so much about the history and culture of Portugal. They are sincere, friendly and attentive. Our group absolutely loves them!

Living Tours has many tours starting from their location in Porto, but it is well organized. Our guide was Pedro and the driver was Joao. I signed up for an English tour, but it turned out to be English and French. I did not find it to be a negative. Pedro answered everyone’s questions in both languages. The tour follows the itinerary as written and times are accurate. The main attraction for me was Bom Jesus Do Monte which is the first stop. Getting there as the first stop means less people which was nice. It lists the funicular separately, but it was not running when we got there. I was looking forward to Guimaraes Castle, but the ruins are really not that much to look at. Pedro provides some of the history and significance of Guimaraes. During the one hour of free time, I went to visit St Francis of Assisi church which I really enjoyed. The drop off is different from the pickup. It is a 12 minute walk from the pickup point. Pedro and Joao were excellent guides. The highlight is Bom Jesus do Monte. Overall, I enjoyed this tour. I did not have much time in Porto, so I would have only visited Bom Jesus do Monte and spend the remaining time in Porto.

This was a fun half day trip to the coast and to the city of Aveiro. The bus ride was about an hour and the guide was very knowledgeable and explained the various sights we were seeing along the way. Aveiro was a quaint town and my only critique of this tour is I would have liked to be able to spend more time there.

Douro valley tour with Living Tours and our guide Rui was epic. We were picked up on time. Our guide was accommodating. The River cruise was perfect along with the port tasting at Croft and our lunch w/port tasting at Santa Julia.

The tour was excellent from start to finish. Our guide was Christian and driver was Yosé. Christian was super knowledgeable about Braga and Guimaraes, he offered a lot of history about these places and all monuments/churches. Overall, I would recommend living tours to anyone looking to travel to Brava and Guimaraes. Highly recommend Christian and Yosé.
