Overview
The UNESCO-listed Douro Valley is famed for its port wine, but with countless wineries to choose from, exploring the region without a guide can be overwhelming. This tour ensures you'll experience the Douro Valley at its very best, by dining on Douro cuisine at a celebrated villa and tasting award-winning bottles at two estates. To see the vineyard-lined Douro River from the water, upgrade to enjoy a cruise by traditional Rabelo boat.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Porto for the 1.5-hour trip to the Douro Valley.

Continue to Pinhão, where you'll have time to explore the beautiful village on your own, from the surrounding vineyards to the distinctive blue-and-white tile murals.

If you selected the Douro River cruise, this is where you'll board a Rabelo, a traditional cargo boat long used for Douro River transport. The hour-long ride takes you up a Tua River tributary and past Quinta da Romaneira winery, and then loops back to Pinhão.

Either before or after your cruise (if you've upgraded), you'll pop into one of the wineries on the agenda for the day before lunch.

For lunch, sit down to a lunch of traditional Douro cuisine paired with local wines at a popular restaurant, and then visit another estate for tastings of award-winning ports and wines. The tour concludes with a return trip to Porto.

Beautiful Day!

Pedro made our day fun and interesting. The countryside and views were simply amazing. Spent the day with some great vacationers that all enjoyed the day together. Would definitely recommend for those that want to take in the history and views of the Douro Valley

Wow what a Day!!! Douro Valley Small-Group Tour with Wine Tasting, Portuguese Lunch and River Cruise

Amazing tour, Douro Valley is beautiful, our tour guide Yugo was outstanding, he was very knowledgeable and did both of our tours from Porto. We were a large group of 16 and everyone agreed that the Douro Valley tour was the best

Great tour

Lola and Pedro were lovely. We were lucky to have a good mix and friendly group. We had a lovely day, despite unfortunately having inclement weather. This tour provided a good opportunity to get out of Porto and to see some of the countryside. Thank...More

Lovely day

Well planned, enough time to relax and enjoy. Good lunch, beautiful scenery. In Sep/Oct you could also enjoy the grape stomping, but I was too late in the year for that.

Lunch poor

Though it rained, the view was still wonderful. The winery in the morning was very interesting and quite fun. The olive oil tasting alone was worth the trip. The afternoon port tasting was adequate. Lunch was an extreme disappointment. No one in our group ate.

This tour was an ALL day event! You are picked up early in the morning and get back(it is about 8-9 hour tour.) Getting into Porto can be busy because of traffic and parking depending where you are staying.

I booked the wrong date originally, so had to call the office number. I found them to be incredibly helpful so give them a call to see what they can do. They were also able to pick us up at our address, some tour organisers... More
