Take a day trip from Athens to Delphi, one of Greece’s most important archaeological sites, all without worrying about transportation or tickets. Admire the scenery en route and tour the Temple of Apollo and other relics as your guide explains the site’s significance. Then, explore Delphi Archaeological Museum to see its classical artifacts. Includes coach travel with Athens hotel (or city center) pickup and drop-off, plus an optional lunch upgrade.
What to Expect
Book your preferred tour option and depart central Athens for Delphi by climate-controlled coach. En route, hear about the ancient Greek civilization that thrived from the eighth century BC to 400 AD and see Levadia and Arachova, towns known for their colored carpets.

Once in Delphi, head to the UNESCO-listed mountainside archaeological site, one of Greece’s most significant. Next, tour the ruins as your guide sheds light on the site’s oracle, an ancient priestess who conveyed messages from the god Apollo. Admire the Temple of Apollo and other monuments, and then visit the Archaeological Museum to view its artifacts, including the Charioteer of Delphi and Sphinx of Naxos.

Following a hotel lunch or free time (depending on selected option), return to Athens, stopping in Arachova along the way to stretch your legs and grab a coffee (own expense).

Your trip concludes at the original Athens starting point.

Road trip to visit Delphi

Evi guided us on this trip to Delphi and made it very interesting. Her knowledge if Greek history and it's interaction with Greek mythology helped understand how Apollo's temple, the Delphi stadium and the pythian games were all connected. The structure there dated back to...More

While I applaud the fact that they got a second bus as the first wasn't reliable even though it made us an hour late they took time out of the site to make up for it. Only forty-five minutes was given for the site itself...More

Good for travel arrangements but guided tour wasn't great and only 45 mins in Delphi

It was a long bus trip but the bus was comfortable (average) and the view was really good to see the countryside. Our guide (woman, don't remember name) did NOT speak good English and we couldn't understand her. The whole 'guided tour' part of the...More
