See the ancient sites and popular attractions of Athens—including the Temple of Zeus, Planetarium, and the Archeological Museum of Piraeus—on this hop-on hop-off bus shore excursion, a stress-free option for visitors with limited time. Enjoy views from the open-top bus, hear onboard commentary, and spend as much time as you’d like at each stop along multiple routes. Choose a ticket for one to four days of exploration, adding extra flexibility.
What to Expect
Your sightseeing shore excursion starts at Syntagma Square for the Athens Line or the Cruise Terminal for the Piraeus Line. A third route, “Beach Rivera,” is available April through October. Hop on the waiting open-top, double-decker bus, and head out for an overview of the city.

Get off at the stops that interest you most, exploring sights like the Temple of Zeus, National Gardens, and Archaeological Museum of Piraeus. Then, just reboard a new bus when you’re ready to move on. Buses depart roughly every 30 minutes, so you won’t have to wait long for another one.

Learn about noteworthy site from onboard audio commentary, available in several languages. Tickets are valid for unlimited rides for one, two, or three days.

A must do especially for first time visitors

We visited Athens from 19-23/10/18 and bought the 'valid for 24 hours' City Sightseeing tickets only to find out that it meant we could use the bus service for 2 days! What a pleasant surprise. On Day 1 we first did a complete circuit (approx...More

Not worth sitting in traffic

You aren't able to actually see much from the bus, and we spent about 2 hours mostly sitting in traffic. The audio quality was poor on many of the headphone jacks. Compared to other cities, I don't think Athens is worth doing via Hop On...More

Excellent Route

Many interesting views of the coast and beaches. Piraeus was worth seeing with the superyachts, houses and cruise liners in at the same time.
