Iceland seduces travelers with uncanny landscapes of geysers, volcanoes, and glaciers. Most travelers view these sights from the ground. With this tour, access a vantage point others won't. Fly to a mountaintop near Reykjavik for a bird’s-eye view of the dramatic scenery. Choose a morning or afternoon flight to suit your schedule. The helicopter ride lasts about 20 minutes, leaving plenty of time for taking photos on the summit.
What to Expect
The tour begins at Reykjavik Airport and you'll arrange your own round-trip transportation. Before boarding the helicopter for a 15- to 20-minute ride, the pilot will narrate a short safety briefing. Hop onboard, choosing to sit up front or in the rear. When everyone is ready, take to the skies.

As you fly over Reykjavik, take in the panoramic views before circling over Mount Esja or another mountain range nearby, depending on the weather. Touchdown on the summit and spy the coastal plains and distant mountains against Reykjavik’s cityscape.

Take some selfies at the summit and chat with your pilot about points of interest in the distance. Step back on board the helicopter and fly back to Reykjavik. The tour ends at the starting point, Reykjavik Airport.

Please note: Weather rules the mountain summit landing and, for this reason, landing locations are determined based on where the best weather is on the day of the flight.
