Classic Ice Cave Experience from Reykjavik with Live Guide and Touch-Screen Audio Guide
From US$280.37
Overview
Enhance your visit to one of Iceland’s most stunning ice caves by traveling in a luxury coach equipped with GPS-enabled, multi-language audio guides. You’ll get a chance to explore the glacier and man-made cave within it on this full-day tour from Reykjavik, and then choose between a visit to a famous waterfall or thermal pool. Plus, convenient pickup and drop-off from your hotel makes a seamless experience.
What to Expect
Get picked up from your central Reykjavik hotel and board a luxury coach equipped with computer tablet audio guides. Your live guide answers any questions you have as you drive out of the capital.

The first stop is Langjokull glacier, the second largest in Iceland. Board a modified glacier vehicle to reach the man-made tunnel and ice cave while you learn about the local impact of global climate change.

Travel deep into the glacier and admire the layers of blue ice. Learn how the glacier was formed and why it’s in perpetual motion.

Return topside and travel to Húsafell for lunch (own expense). Visit a thermal pool in the village, or Hraunfossar, a waterfall that appears to flow from a lava field.

Make the return journey to Reykjavik, and get dropped off at your hotel.

Fascinating Place

The company and guide who took us there were great. Good time of the year to see the Northern Lights too, only 5 house of daylight. Have been in May and December, try both times of the year, vastly different experiences.

Great fun

The whole day was absolutely brilliant. The waterfall was stunning. The best bit had to be the snow ride up to the ice cave. The guides were funny, entertaining and informative yet safe. A must do if going to Iceland.
