South Coast Full Day Tour from Reykjavik by Minibus
US$125.00
Overview
A quick trip to Iceland doesn't mean missing the highlights, and this full-day tour of the South Coast explores glaciers, waterfalls, a volcano, and puffin habitat. You'll travel in a Mercedes Benz minibus that's Wi-Fi equipped, which allows you to upload photos to social media with ease. Stop at Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, find views of Sólheimajökull glacier and Eyjafjallajökull volcano, and then look for puffins on a black-sand beach. Your guide provides information crucial to understanding Iceland's eco-system throughout the tour.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Reykjavik, boarding a Mercedes Benz Sprinter minibus for a day of South Coast adventures.

Since the van has Wi-Fi, you can keep up with emails or post to social media on the way to the first stops of the day, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. Keep your camera out for these—the two waterfalls are a favorite with photographers.

Next, train your lens on Sólheimajökull glacier, part of the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap, and take in Eyjafjallajökull, a fiery volcano that's capped with thick ice.

The day on the South Coast includes some culinary exploring, as well. Try a snack of smoked lamb on flatbread with a typical Icelandic beverage alongside (there's a stop to purchase lunch if desired). Before returning to Reykjavik, head to Reynisfjara black-sand beach, where you might be lucky enough to spot one of Iceland's Atlantic puffins.

Great tour of the South Coast!

Tons of great scenery and amazing sights. Loved the black sand beach and the waterfalls. Our tour guide Addy was very informative and really loves her country. It's a full day, but if you have the time, I highly recommend this tour.

Baldvin is the MVP

This past Sunday (the 7th), my friends and I embarked on this tour with no knowledge of Iceland's south coast or expecations. We are from the Untied States, and we knew we wanted to see the Black Sand Beach for its aesthetics, natural wonders and...More

The stop times vary, anywhere from 20 minutes to 50 minutes. However our tour guide was flexible and there was plenty of time to experience each sight. Yes, there was plenty of time for Seljalandsfoss as well.

The tour pick up starts around 8 am, I believe you should be back in Reykjavik by 5 pm, depending on the weather driving conditions! Hope this helps!
