Kylie (guide) and Ferdinand (driver) were amazing! The tour takes you to multiple key spots were the Sound of Music was filmed, in both Salzburg and a few mountain towns that are extremely beautiful. Kylie was super informative and full of fun energy. Absolutely worth the money, and highly recommend.

As one who typically avoids group tours, I was pleasantly surprised! I grew up watching sound of music so this tour seemed short and sweet if nothing else. I must say we all loved it!!!! It offered a scenic bus ride filled with fun facts about the movie, music was played and people sang along to favorite songs from the movie. The bus ride was very comfortable with large windows to look out of. Well ventilated. We went to a beautiful small town of Mondsee which that alone was worth the entire trip in my opinion. We thought it was money well spent. Our tour guide Anthony and our driver ( Haki?) were very enjoyable. This tour helped me tie the movie scenes to their location.

Very good and the tour guide was excellent. Learned a lot about the movie and its background. A must for fans of the musical

David entertained us the whole trip, while informing on all types of information on the making of the movie. Made me want to see the movie for the first time. Fernando kept safe on the road.

We had a great time at the original sound of music tour. Well paced and enjoyable tour. The tour guide was awesome and very friendly.

Even though I’ve been dreaming of this tour for ages, and therefore built it up in my head, Simon and his tour did not disappoint. I learned so much more about the filming and the different locations of the Sound of Music then I thought possible. Simon has the perfect personality and passion for what he’s doing and made this experience that much more fun!

It was a rainy day, but David and Ferdinand made it an awesome experience. The amount of information they were able to tell us was incredible and we will be watching the movie very soon with a fresh perspective!

Our guide, Kylie, was great, high energy enthusiastic and knew a lot about the movie. Our driver, Miki, was great as well, no idea how he was able to get a huge bus through the narrow streets of Salzburg. Scenery was beautiful and the drive was a treat. Overall, the trip exceeded my expectations and I am 100% not a Sound of Music fan.

This tour was just amazing . Our tour guide I forget his name- but he was originally from Costa Rica was just wonderful. He was funny and was able to engage everyone. My husband who does not remember the Sound of Music enjoyed it as much as I did. We sang along and saw many of the sights where the movie was filmed. We were told about the real Von Trapp story and how it deviates from the musical and how the musical came to be. The trip to Mondsee where the church where Maria and the Captain get married in the movie, is located, was so scenic and we were able to stop along the way and take some pics. If you go to Salzburg definitely book this tour!!!

This tour was fantastic. The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. The tour starting point was easy to find, right where they said they would be. It started on time. The salt mines were so interesting to learn about. And sliding down the slides was so fun that it made this old man feel like a kid again! After the salt mines we went to a small village in Germany. We went to a biergarten there. We had the best German sausage, pretzel and beer while there. The entire tour was just a treat. I highly recommend this tour.

Simon was a wonderful guide! The perfect blend of humor, history, entertainment (singing) and passion for the event/story, and for the community. So much fun!!

The tour was a fabulous experience while visiting Salzburg. The guides were very friendly, caring and knowledgeable about Salzburg and the Sound of Music. The tour is four hours long, but definitely worth the time and price. Our tour group had groups from several different countries, who all enjoyed the tour and sang along to the songs. This is an absolute must do while visiting Salzburg. This is for casual fans and die hards, everyone will love the tour. Although not part of the tour, we rented a car and went to the field where the iconic Do Re Mi song was filmed. Beautiful location about 30-45 minutes outside of Salzburg with absolute stunning views in the mountains. Highly recommend the tour.

So entertaining - if you're lucky enough to get Peter as your guide - you will not be bored! I took this tour about 20 years previously and it was exactly as I remembered. But I will remember this tour, this time, because of Peter and poor Ferdinand (driver). There was never a dull moment.

A very interesting look into the history and workings of the salt mines outside Salzburg. With a knowledgeable tour guide and fearless driver, there was plenty of beautiful scenery and little surprises a long the way. There was a 1 hour stop off in Berchtesgaden for food or a quick shop.

Great afternoon, even if, like me, you are not a huge fan of the show. The people I was with were and they absolutely loved it. I question however that this tour depends on the quality of the guide. Ours was fantastic and made the afternoon great.
